Kageyama's POV
I stayed silent listening to the sounds of Hinata's sobs for about ten minute before he finally calmed down and peeled himself from my chest to look at me in the face - his eyes red and puffy and his nose runny. It made me frown with worry seeing him in this state. I hated this look on him - it didn't suit him at all.
"I-I'm s-sorry..." he suddenly whispered as he bowed his head to avoid my gaze. I placed my finger tips under his chin, gently lifting his head up so he'd look at me.
"You don't have to be sorry... I'm just worried about you Shoyou and I want to help you. I can't do that if I don't know what's wrong.." I spoke gently, my thumb calmly caressing his cheek.
"I- I didn't want to tell you... I-I had some.. Problems on my way to the club room after class.." Hinata confessed as his eyes looked down, a few new tears forming in his eyes.
"Does that explain the bruising and the limp and the face twisted with pain?" I asked hesitantly, sitting up with Shoyou sitting in my lap. He simply nodded at my question.
"What happened?..." He seemed hesitant at first, his body shaking a little before he sighed unevenly and spoke up.

Hinata's POV
I hated today. It had to be the worst day of my life. Morning practice and Kageyama couldn't serve straight, classes being absolute hell, my 'problems' before evening practice and evening practice of completely avoiding the person I love because of fear.

I knew I had to tell him, I just couldn't with so many prying ears. So now I finally took the time to explain to Tobio why I was in so pain.

~Before Evening Practice~

I'd just finished my final class of the day and I was bubbly and excited for the Nekoma practice game we had for evening practice. However just as I'd stepped out the classroom, I was immediately gagged and blindfolded before being dragged and taken to who knows where in the school. I kept kicking my legs and pulling my arms in a desperate attempt to break free from whoever was dragging me but a sudden, swift twist on my my arm caused me let out a muffled scream and stop my thrashing until me and whoever else got to the unknown location.

Finally I was dragged to a dark room and thrown to the floor, hitting my right shoulder hard against the wall causing me let out yet another muffled scream. I felt someone forcefully grip my hair and pull my to sit up as they harshly ripped the blindfold from my head. After several seconds of blinking and shaking my head, I took note of the shelved filled with books and the two really tall males standing over my figure. One was lanky with flat blonde hair and the other was somewhat muscular with spiky blonde hair. They looked like twins but I couldn't be sure - but their faces were contorted into scary scowls of disgust.

The lanky one spoke first. "Well well well, looks like the carrot top stole the jewel of the year." I raised an eyebrow slightly confused at what he meant. I don't own any jewels.....
But then the muscular one spoke up. "That's right. This school doesn't tolerate thieves so we need to teach him a lesson."
At this point I was really confused so I attempted to speak despite the gag. "Whaf oo you mean?"
Suddenly I was greeted with a swift kick to my side and I let out yet another muffled scream.
The lanky one spoke up again. "You idiot! You stole our precious Tobio Kageyama. We saw you making out with him beside the gym this morning. That's called stealing and we won't tolerate it. He's ours got that?!"

Another muffled cry left mouth as another kick was sent to my already hurt side. I lay crumpled on the floor as kick after kick was made to my body. They aimed for my right shoulder and my side along with my leg ankle - muffled scream after muffled scream leaving my mouth as tears fell from my eyes. Eventually they stopped once they were certain I was practically broken. But  before they left, I felt the muscular one grip my hair as he growled into my ear, "Let's see how he treats you when you're absolutely useless to him on the court." With that he removed my gag and shoved my head on the floor, leaving with the lanky one as I cried in pain on the floor.

After several minutes, I picked myself up off the floor, wincing when I put my left foot on the floor. But I grabbed my bag and wiped my tears as I made my way to the club room as quickly as possible - knowing I had to turn up to practice.

~Present~

By the time I'd explained to Kageyama what had happened, my eyes were spilling fresh tears and my body was shaking violently as I clutched my setter's t-shirt. I felt him gently place his hand on the back of my head and bring me in for a hug, my head resting on his chest. I heard his heartbeat going much quicker than normal which made me think he was probably angry and annoyed.
"I can't believe anyone would do something so cruel..." I could hear his voice was concerned and angered.
"A-am I useless to you?... N-Now I can't jump high enough anymore?..." I asked shakily due to my sobbing.
"What?! Of course not, Shoyou you're never useless. You might feel like it now but you'll heal quickly. And I'll be there for you no matter what. I'll be by your side even when you're at your most vulnerable." he confessed, his voice softening as his hand started to gently brush through my hair. I nodded and whimpered sightly as a response, clutching his shirt tighter as a few more tears spilled from my eyes

But after my ordeal and the constant wave of pain now pressing on my body after struggling through it for so long, I was fighting to keep my eyes open as my body tried to shut down and force me to rest against the pain. However with the way Tobio's hand gently ran through my hair, his scent in my nose overwhelming my senses and his heartbeat constant in my ear it was proving more and more difficult to fight against the exhaustion. Finally my eyelids drooped, and my breathing somewhat evened out despite the shaking of my body - the last thought on my mind before I passed out being 'Thank god I texted my mother earlier saying I'd be spending the night at Kageyama'.'
