THE REASON FOR MY SUDDEN ACTIONS( BREAK UP)
YOU KISSED ME ON MY NECK,
AS YOU PUSHED ME ON THE DESK.
MY LEGS OPENED TO EXPRESS,
AS MY HANDS GLAZED AGAINST
YOUR CHEST.
MY MIND WAS SAYING STOP,
BUT MY THOUGHTS WEREN'T AS STRONG.
OUR HARMONES WERE AT THE TOP,
ALTHOUGH WE KNEW IT WAS WRONG.
YOU SQUEEZED YOUR BODY BETWEEN MY LEGS,
AS THOU THERE WAS NO END.
I WHISPERED IN YOUR EAR.
"WHY CANT WE JUST BE FRIEND?"
YOU LOOKED AT ME AS THOU
I HAD SAID SOMETHING WRONG.
THEN THIS FEELING CAME;
LIKE A LEAP OF THE HEART
I WONDERED IF IT WAS A SIGN
OF US BREAKING APART,
AND I SAID," STOP! SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT!"
YOU IGNORED MY WORDS AS YOU RUBBED UPON MY TIGHTS.
I CONTINUED BECAUSE I WANTED TO PLEASE YOU,
I CONTINUED BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO REFUSE YOU.
THEN SUDDENLY YOU STOPPED,
AND YOU LOOKED IN MY EYES;
I ASKED YOU WHY,
AS I TURNED BY SURPRISE.
IT WAS A TEACHER;
ONE IN WHOM I RESPECTED.
I FELT AS THOU I WAS NOTHING:
I FELT LIKE I WAS NEGLECTED,
AND ASHAME TO BE.
I FELT LIKE A DISAPPOINTMENT
TO MY TEACHER AND TO THEE.
I WALKED OUT OF THE CLASS,
WITH MY DIGNITY ON THE FLOOR.
I WISHED THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN,
I WOULD RATHER BE DIRT POOR.
I LEFT YOU AS YOU LAUGHED;
LAUGH WITH THE TEACHER AND FIX YOUR PANTS.
I WAS SO HURT:
I WISH I COULD DRIFT AWAY LIKE QUICK SAND.
THEN I WAS WAITING ON YOUR COMING,
AS I WAITED FOR YOU TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER,
BUT INSTEAD YOU LEFT ME IN THE COLD,
WITHOUT PASSING A SWEATER.
MY HEART WAS IN ANTAGONIZING PAIN,
WITH EACH STEP YOU MADE FARTHER AWAY.
THEN I FIGURED HOW TO REMOVE THIS STAIN;
I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO PUT THIS LOVE ON DELAY.
SO I BROKE UP WITH YOU,
WITHOUT NO REGRETS.
THIS TIME I WAS SERIOUS
FOR I'M TIRED OF PUTTING YOU TO THE TEST.
