The Wedding (Short Story)

Family

"Where is your aunt?"

"She decided to take a walk around."

"My dad said the same thing."  

"Look our families are walking in and seem to be getting along. Your aunt looks exactly like all the photos you have shown me. Hey, guys over here."

Rachel and Donte freeze and turn pale. "No", says Rachel. "This really can't be happening." Then Donte and her start to walk over towards the brides.

"You are Mina as in Williamina?"

"Yes, do I know you?'

"The last time I saw you was during the hearing regarding your mother. You were still in diapers."

"Auntie, you were at the hearing?"

"Yes, I was one of the victims of your mother's revenge porn because of Donte. I told Donte to put my name as something else in his phone. He told me I would be listed as Margaret."

"How was I suppose to know she would snap?"

"How can you act surprised that the woman you told you loved get jealous when she found out you had been lying to her the whole time. I see much hasn't changed since then."

"Auntie that means you dated?"

"I wouldn't call it that," as she laughs. "That means you both were named after me."

"Dad you named me Williamina Ráhel. So I guess your name is Ella Rachel Williams."

"Rachel is my first name. This whole time Ellita never told me your first name is actually Williamina.

"If you both stayed together and my parent died Mina would had been like my sister........."
