Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Caleb Raven.

I slightly opened my eyes when I felt something soft poking my left cheek.

Hindi na ako nagulat sa bumungad. How can this person be so unbelievably handsome. Hindi niya pa napansin na gising na ako, and he's still poking my cheeks.

I dont know what his name is. Ipinikit ko nalang uli ang mga mata 'ko ng hindi niya napapansin.

I closed my eyes shut, and he's still poking. Ano bang trip neto? May pa tawa tawa pa kada-pindot sa pisngi 'ko. Ilang taon na ba to? Five?

Masyado siyang natutuwa, that's why I decided to completely open my eyes to surprise him on purpose.

At imbis na ako ang magulat kanina, he's the one who got startled instead.

"Ginagawa mo?" I glared.

Nakita ko ang panlalaki ng mga mata niya kasabay ng paglayo niya sakin. "A-ah! Sorry!"

Umayos naman ako ng upo. We're still at the van and it's not moving. I guess we're already here, wherever this place is..

"I just tried to wake you up I'm sorry!"

Unbelievable. Ano bang akala nito sa pinsgi 'ko, laruan? I rolled my eyes.

Tinignan 'ko ang paligid, kami nalang ang tao dito sa van and it's already dark outside. "Are we here?" I asked. It was a long trip.

He nodded, still looking a bit surprised.

"Nasan si lola?" Agad na tanong ko ng maalalang kaming dalawa nalang ang tao dito sa van.

"Ah, nasa loob na, tara." He hop off and I followed.

Malamig na simoy ng hangin, at nagtataasang silweta ng mga punong nakapaligid ang sumalubong sa akin. The moment I got off the vehicle, an odd feeling slapped me.

The wind was howling, that sounded like the voices of dead souls. Scuttling spiders, shadowy, and no lights. I was frozen. Its just weird. Something felt off, and it didn't feel safe.

"Are you okay?"

Muli akong napatingin sa anghel na nasa harapan. He gave me a reassuring smile that helped me gain courage. For a moment my mind was cleared by the help of his presence.

I just followed him, at dito bumungad sa amin ang kabuuan ng lugar.

"This is our place." He smiled. Even though it was already dark, I could still see the whole place.

I slowly stepped at the stone path with an angel leading before me, marble statues stood tall by the entrance, it was like an old but still fancy mansion.

Akala 'ko okay naman kahit medyo creepy, but when we finally took a step closer, the eerie aura and the unsafe feeling hits again when I saw something a normal house wouldn't have.

Sinubukan 'kong kusutin ang mga mata 'ko, but my eyes aren't playing.

There's graves, in their house! A graveyard! I tried looking away, but my eyes got locked and I froze just by the thoughts of it.

Napalunok nalang ako sa takot. Why the heck do they have those? Is this a cemetery? Are they murderers?! Everything started making me so freaking anxious.

"W-why do you have--"

"--Those are just.. Animals."

My jaw dropped hearing what he said. "J-just animals?" Are you kidding me?

I would understand if there's only one or two, they might had pets that passed away. But with the number of graves in here, they must've had a whole ass zoo!
