What if all the things we always wished for, came true? What if you only had memories and traces of your loved ones and forgotten all the things you regret.
They say everything comes at a price. You lose something, you gain something. Little did Val...

"Sometimes waiting makes the culmination that much sweeter."

Valentine's pov'
I drummed my fingers on the table waiting for breakfast to be served. It was early Monday morning and I had a meeting to attend.
"Daddy, I'm weady." Exclaimed little Axel running down the stairs.
"Hey. That rhymes. And wait-did you by any chance get ready on your own?" I asked looking up and down at his attire. I must say I'm proud of him, he finally knows how to get dressed on his own. He wore a blue shirt with black jeans but the lace of his shoes were untied.
"Uh-yes! I look chawming like daddy!" He said climbing on my lap.
"Did you just call me charming?" I asked raising an eyebrow while tying his lace. When I was done with it, I placed him on the chair which was on my left side so that he could sit there comfortably.
"Of couwse, daddy is chawming and cool. That's why evewybody likes him." He said and reached for the orange juice that was infront of him.
"Everybody? Who are you talking about Axel?" I was too curious to know who he is talking about.
"That woman we met at your offwice that day, said she likes you!"He exclaimed and took small sips of his orange juice.
"oh, that woman! She is not nice!" I said and took a sip from my coffee.
"But- she's vewy pweety!" He said with a pout and kept the glass on the table with a thud.
"Axel, she's pretty but that's doesn't mean she's nice." I said tickling him on his sides.
"Fine, she's not!" He said laughing loudly while trying to get away from me.
"And you must remember not to talk with those pretty ladies in the future which you do a lot, alright?" I scowled recalling all the days where he would randomly go out of my office to talk with the staff.
"Does that mean I can't talk to mowmmy as well?" I didn't see that coming I must say, it was like a cold bucket of water was thrown at me.
This is the first time Axel spoke of his mom. I mean all these years he never asked about her nor did he talk about her. Four years ago, after the car crash I did indeed restart my life along with Axel. He was my daily reminder as to why I should know about my past and keep looking for my wife.
After I woke up at the hospital confused as to who I am , the doctors later confirmed that it was a dissociative disorder; amnesia.
I was beyond terrified when I heard that I mean you couldn't blame me, you would react the same way if you were at my place and remembered nothing of your past; not even your name.
