Valentine's pov'

I stood there silently watching scenes unfold in front of me.That voice again, the same voice spoke from behind me.

"Dams, no don't go there." She sighed and ran towards a little girl who was dressed like a tomboy; Dams, that is what she called her. I couldn't see her face as her back was towards me.I mean, I'm not surprised because this happens every single time.

"Why not? Look there's that toddler. I really want to scare him away." Dams replied, I don't know why but I honestly think she looks familiar.

"Did I not tell you that it's not nice to bully kids." She said sternly to which Dams rolled her eyes.

"Val wouldn't say otherwise, it would have been fun if he was here. I hate these parties anyway." Dams replied with a little pout and looked around the room. Apparently it was a huge room; more like a ballroom. People were scattered around. Adults were talking among themselves, some were exchanging gestures as formalities while their kids were running around like when a dog accidentally gets free out of it's lash.

"He said he would be here soon!" She said and took something out of her bag which looked like a pendant.

"You still have that?" Dams asked, pointing at the pendant.

"Mhmm I- oh there you are Val." She said looking at my younger self who happened to walk in through the backdoor.

"As I promised, love! But I'm really sorry that I'm kind of late as my car broke down so I had to walk here and to my luck it's raining heavily." My younger self said shrugging off his overcoat.

"Thank God, you're here at least! Your girlfriend is such a pain in my ass, she wouldn't even let me do the things that I enjoy." Dams said with a huff and rolled her eyes.

"The only thing you enjoy is bullying kids." My younger self said and looked at her pointedly.

"Ugh, you have no idea how it feels when I watch them cry." Dams said and smiled looking a little dazed.

"Damiya, please! Not again." She said and put the pendant inside her bag.

Damiya? Is-is she the same girl that I met this morning? I-I'm sure about it now.

"But Ma-" Damiya started but everything seemed to fade away.

"Whoops, did I wake you up daddy?" Axel said, looking at me with puppy eyes. He was about to lay down beside me.

"Uh- it's okay, Axel." I said and looked at my surroundings. I was back at my office and I have no idea why I was lying on the couch.

"Daddy, you nevew sleep at this time. When I came in I saw you lying thewe sleeping peacefully and I wanted to know how it feels too so I was twying to sleep neaw you but woke you up instead. Axel is sowwy." He said and stood up. Previously I could tell, he was wiggling himself beside me to have a little place for himself.
