Getting Back in the Game

*three months later*

I was still laying in the bed trying to get over the death of my father and I was getting better each day. Unlike my mom, who was a reck, I was able to think about the good in the situation and was ready to get my revenge.

It's the middle of the summer and I decided to meet up with my nigga Kamm for lunch. He's been around a lot since my dads murder and I'm thankful for it. So as I pulled into the parking lot at our favorite restaurant, I see his matte yellow Lexus LFA in the front. I walk in and see his is dressed similar to me. I hate when we accidentally match.

As I was walking towards him he stood up , I guess he knew I was there. He was good at being my best-friend and was quite attractive but i didn't see us being like that.
He hugged me tight as he said " what's up bigHEAD"
I gave a slight smile and said " nothing much just trying to get out the house."
I sat down and a waiter walked over to us. She was cute and it looked like she had an eye for Kam.
" What can I get for you today?" She said smiling at Kam.
" I would like famous Big Homie Burger with a side of fries and a coke." He said
"And for you ?"
" A Cesar salad and order of ribs with a side of fries. Oh yeah I would like special house sauce on mines please and thank you . "
" anything to drink"
"Water will be fine" I said with a slick smile .
She walked away taking out orders into the back .
Me and Kam had a short conversation on how my families been doing since the last time he visited. Shortly our food came and we talked about my plans.
" I want to move " I said poking at my salad . I think he kind of chocked when I said that .
" Move where?" He said wiping his mouth.
" I don't know somewhere away from Louisiana ."
" Did you talk to your mom about it ?"
" yes and she is fine with it. She was always ready to move you know . "I say shrugging my shoulders .
" well you know I'm fine with anything that will make you happy." He said staring at me .
We just sat looking at each other for a while until he grabbed my hand " Kenedi you know I'm going to miss you right?"
" I'm going to miss you too Kam. I am still going to come and visit every now and then . I just need some new scenery." I say pulling my hand away.

Kameron's point of view

It's been a couple of months since Kennys dad passed but she has been getting better over time . Today we were meeting up for lunch . I thought she need to get out the house some and I know she loves to eat so why not.
I pulled up to they restaurant and got a table for two .
A few minutes later Kenny walked through the door and I stood to give her a hug.
"what's up bigHEAD" I said
" nothing much just trying to get out the house ." As soon as she said that the waiter came to ask for our orders. I could tell she was attracted to me but I didn't really care . To be honest I was in love with Kenny . We were friends for years and my love for her progressed over time but I was never able to tell her.
The waiter took our orders and left us to talk some .
A few minutes later the food came and we sat eating quietly until Kennedi broke the silence.
"I want to move "
When she said that I kinda chocked a little . " move where?"
" I don't know somewhere away from Louisiana ."
" Did you talk to your mom about it ?"
" yes and she is fine with it. She was always ready to move you know . "She say shrugging her shoulders .
" well you know I'm fine with anything that will make you happy." I said looking her in the eyes.
We just sat looking at each other for a while until i grabbed her hand " Kenedi you know I'm going to miss you right?"
" I'm going to miss you too Kam. I am still going to come and visit every now and then . I just need some new scenery." She say pulling her hand away.
I gotta say that kind of hurt you when she pulled away from me but I had to realize she didn't feel the same way about me .
We finished lunch and said our goodbyes. I was happy to see her doing better but I'm sad to hear the new she told me .

Kennys pov
2 months later

It's been two months since I told Kam I was moving and today was the day we were leaving.
A couple of guys from the trap came to help us pack and leave . While I was helping my little sister carry a box in the moving truck I saw Kam's Lexus pull up. I walked over to him and give him a hug and a smile .
" what's bigHEAD "
" what's up panda bear "
" I came to help " he said rubbing his hands together .
I laughed a little " well come on you big build a bear and help me put this stuff in the truck "

2 hours later and we were done packing . We were all tired and hungry so my mom decide to order pizza and then we would be leaving to go to Mississippi , Jackson Mississippi at that .
I mean I did say I wanted a new scenery so let's see what these cowboy hood rats got to offer. We finish eating and say our last goodbyes to the house . I was going to miss that house and the memories that came with it . I was last one to leave out . But when I finally walked out the door Kam was siting there waiting for me .
" be safe "
" I will , stay out of trouble kamm"
" only if you will " he said laughing
" I won't make any promises but I will try . " I said laughing also.
I walked closer to give him a goodbye hug . It lasted longer than i thought It would be .
" I'm going to miss you Kennedi Ashlyn "
" I'm going to miss you more Kameron Cantrail "
" I love you ".
I was taken back by his words but I replied telling him I love him too.
We finally let go and I felt tears trying to urge their way out .
" I know your not finna cry Rock hard Kenny "
" shut up " I say punching his shoulder .
He walks me to the car and says goodbye to my family and then we are on our way .
