Oliver entered the basement of the Veredant and was met by silence. He hated it but it was for the best. He walked over to the old plant and watered it. He looked at the once green leaves which were now golden brown.
"Have you came to a decision yet?" Roy asked from the other side of the room as he practiced firing arrows at targets.
Oliver looked over at his protege "On what?" He asked.
"On the undercover mission? In Central City Asylum?" Roy replied.
"I already said Speedy, It's not our city" Oliver replied as he went over to the dusty computer setup.
"Barry even said we could take this case! It's not his type of thing, no meta-humans involved" Roy complained.
Oliver sighed and remembered Barry had said that. "Fine, However, since this is your first undercover job, If you do not contact me within one week, I'm getting you out of there" Oliver told him.
"Thank you Oliver, I can do this" Roy said grabbing his stuff he put behind the table. "You had pre-packed?" He questioned.
"Um... Yeah" Roy replied.
"Go then" Oliver said.
Roy smiled and walked off leaving Oliver on his own in the Arrow Cave as he was used to. He sighed and sat on the chair at the computers Felicity used to use. He touched the table and remembered when he told her to leave.
"Whats changed?" Felicity asked Oliver.
"I realised how much more dangerous this job is" Oliver replied hanging up his bow and turning slightly to look at the floor.
"Oliver, It has always been this dangerous" Felicity snapped. "What the hell happened in that warehouse?" Felicity asked a bit calmer.
Oliver looked at her being reminded of the horrific scene in the warehouse where she died. "Something that I can't let happen" Oliver explained.
Felicity sighed "If you want me to go, I'll leave Oliver, But I am never coming back" She told him.
Those words stung Oliver like ice over a burnt wound. He knew what was best. "Then leave" He said.
Felicity was taken aback. She wanted him to fight for her to try and find another way. "You know, You have a talent Oliver Queen" Felicity said her voice breaking as she felt herself beginning to cry. She picked up her pink back and her purple coat and looked at Oliver.
"You're talent is you're great at losing people" She said harshly as she left leaving Oliver on his own. Again.

Year 2043, Starling City
Ruby smiled standing on the Podium next to the newly appointed mayor. "I am proud to announce the re-opening of..." She began and used the over-sized scissors in her hands to cut the red ribbon sealing the entrance to the police station. "Starling City Police Station" Ruby said with a bright smile.
The audience clapped and Ruby put the large scissors down and walked away from the crowd and was followed by the mayor and her guards. "This city... It has grown so much in four years" The Mayor said tightening her bobble in her white hair.
"Yes it has, You showed up just in time Mayor Visceribus" Ruby said struggling on the last name.
"Please, Call me Heather" She said to Ruby. They began to walk together in the direction of Queen Manor.
"I have to go, Me and my brother are planning the memorial for all those we lost in the war over the city against.. Milla and the Blue Arrow" Ruby told the Mayor.
"I understand" Heather replied. "I look forward to seeing it, Will your father be attending?" She asked.
Ruby stopped outside her house and sighed. "I doubt it, My father hasn't been the same since my mother's death" She lied.
The mayor nodded. "Farewell then Ruby Queen" The mayor said giving a small smile and walking away.
Ruby rushed into the Manor and quickly dropped the smile she had put on for the cameras. She rushed up to her room to get the blue dress she wore off and put on a pair of black jeans, blue tank top, Blue hoodie and black high-tops.
She then walked downstairs and into the living area where the majority of her household were. Her father was helping Wally take down the Christmas decorations while her brother sat in a chair typing away on his laptop. "Is Smokey home yet?" Ruby asked.
The three men looked up at her. "No, She's staying at a friends today, Remember?" Wally said to Ruby.
Ruby nodded "I forgot" She replied.
"They missed you at the opening of the police station today Oliver" Ruby said.
Oliver sighed "Sorry, I would've been there but..." He began.
"What? To many old villians who remember your face? Who might pop out and hurt your family? Please Oliver, They are all dead, Plus I've got old enemies too... Remember Kane? He attacked our house two nights ago? And Richard? Sure he's been missing for a while but he will appear..." She snapped.
"Ruby..." Oliver groaned.
"Oliver, I can go outside, You should try it sometime" Ruby said as she walked off Max followed her.
"We still on for going tonight?" Max asked his sister.
Ruby nodded. "I am going back to Starling City before all this, I can't handle all these memories, The sooner we get to Starling, The sooner I can get to that woman and the sooner I can forget every single bad thing that has ever happened."
