'Alright. S-so lately when I've been around S-sora, I've had this feeling in my chest. Like I'm really happy when I'm near him.'
Bismarck smiled and stood up. 'Well that, my friend,' she said as she turned around. 'Would be love.'
'L-love?'
'Mhm.' Bismarck walked down the hallway to her room.
I l-l-love Sora? Admiral Hipper had been lying awake in her bed for the past hour because for once the girl is slightly denser than the guy. Her brain had been at work for said past hour trying to come up with her next move.
MEANWHILE, in our universe- *ahem*, meanwhile, Sora is lying in his bed and had been awake for the past hour, just like Hipper. He, however, was trying to come up with a plan for action. Upon realising that he had fallen for Hipper, he also realised that he should probably confess; that might be a good idea. Unfortunately, he had no idea whatsoever about how to confess to someone.
The next morning, Sora was talking to the Admiral over the phone.
'So, Admiral, if you were to, ah, let's say, fall in love with a girl, how would you confess? Hypothetically, of course.'
The Admiral, not one to fall for that kind of thing, knew straight away that this situation was the opposite of hypothetical. But, being the nice guy that he was, did not mention that he saw through Sora's words and gave him some advice. 'Well, if I had to confess to a girl, I would, first and foremost, make sure we are alone. Then I'd turn to face her and say, 'I love you,' as confidently as I could.
'Thanks, sir.' Sora hung up. The Admiral's secretary, Yorkbruh- I mean, Yorktown was in the room while he was on the phone with Sora. This made things incredibly awkward as they continued with their work.
Sora, having somehow mustered courage from the depths of his soul, wanted to put the Admiral's advice to good use. But within seconds of deciding that he was going to confess, his social anxiety levels went from zero to about 68347249123438. The commander, deciding that it was most likely a fairly decent idea to try to calm down, found himself in the place he normally goes to when he needs to calm down; the bench in the clearing in the forest on the cliff, overlooking the base.
Hipper was just asked if she was going to confess to Sora by almost all of Sora's fleet. The one girl who didn't ask was Laffey, who was, surprise surprise, fast asleep. To escape, she loudly exclaimed that she needed some fresh air and proceeded to swiftly walk out of the common room. Hipper ended up in the place where she goes to calm down or relax; the clearing in the forest on the cliff, overlooking the base.
Having heard footprints behind him, Sora turned in time to see Admiral Hipper wander into the clearing. Upon noticing him, she walked over and sat down beside him. Sora, by some miracle, contained his newfound social anxiety and managed to ask Hipper a question without stuttering.
'So, what brings you here this afternoon, Hipper?'
Admiral Hipper also managed to do the same. 'Nothing to important, how about you?'
'Just need to chill.' They sat there in silence as the sun began to set. Hipper wanted to confess to Sora but she couldn't find her voice. Sora on the other hand, having replenished his courage supplies, spoke to Hipper.
'Hipper?'
'Y-yes?'
'I have a few words and a simple question for you.'
'Okay.'
Sora knew he couldn't back up now. His heart was beating so hard he could barely hear himself think. Scraping together the last of his courage supplies, he let them out in one go.
'I love you. Will you go out with me?' Sora, now blushing immensely, turned his head away slightly.
The two of them turned back to the sunset. Hipper rested her head on Sora's shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders. They watched the sun go down, in peace and quiet, alone. Just the two of them.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this chapter. For now, this is where Sora and Hipper's story comes to an end. I will continue it if I get enough ideas but as I don't have them right now, the story will end here at a 'milestone'. Oh yeah! The 'the end' text! I nearly forgot!
The End
A/N: This isn't the end anymore! Yay...
