Asked Baozhai banting from all the running they did as she looked at chenle .

He looked back at her , lowering his hood to run his hand through his hair .

She smacked his shoulder , " I told you that the mission was a fail ! ,"
She scolded .
" But good job kiddo !"
She grinned at him , before shooting the older boy another glare .

Chenle looked at the girl next to him , he batted her cheek to stop her from scolding the boy any further .

She turned to him and sighted staring off at the darkness swallowing the light in the sky .
" he just keeps on doing that chenle , he wouldn't move on . I bet you that he won't be able to sleep for the rest of the week ,"
She sat down on the edge of the rooftop , her hands pressed on the wall as she leaned on them .

The boy looked behind him , to the boy that stared at nothing .

He sighed at him , he was already tired of seeing him that way . Even tho this was only his third time .

He couldn't imagine what the girl had to keep up with , she has been a friend of the guy for her whole life .

Never once has he seen her leave the boy behind , or hear someone talk shit about him without standing up for him .
Even when even he didn't stand for himself .

He walked towards him , pulling him down as he sat on the ground a few meters away behind the girl .

They remained silent , till he broke it .
" peaceful huh ? It is ."
He answered his own question humming .

" everything looks so peaceful ,"
He looked at the boy next to him , who was staring at the stars littered night sky .

He now had the attention of his friend .

" look at her jun . Does she look at peace for you ? You should stop making her worry too much , she's stupid for even caring about you ,"
He didn't even bother to use honorifics with him as he looked at the girl in front of them .
Face in her hands as her hair covered it .

" she worrys for your life more than hers .
You should give her a break bro , get it together . No more drinking for you , I always covered on you for her . Not for you .

He got up , dusting his jeans .

He turned towards him before walking away , pointing at him to let him know how serious he is .
" And move on . I mean it , stop drooling over her ."

She felt a pat on her shoulder , looking up at chenle as she moved her hands .
" Let's go home , we have school tomorrow ."

She held his extended hand , getting pulled up easily .
" Thanks ,"

" Let's go renjun ."
He got up , still not taking his eyes off of her since chenle's words .
Even when he screwed everything up , she still called for him to come along .

He was looking down , eyes glistening with tears in guilt and sadness as he dragged his feet on the ground .

Once they were home , she kicked her shoes off and slipped on her slippers .
She threw herself on the couch , too tired to even go upstairs to her room .

She felt the couch sink next to her , opening her eyes and looking at the boy next to her .
" Hey , why don't you go to sleep ? You have a race tomorrow and we have to go to school ,"

She sighted , she totally forgot about the race right after school .
" I'm just too lazy , how about you give me a lift upstairs ?"
She wriggled her eyebrows at the boy next to her , only joking .

She closed her eyes , she was drained of energy .

Her eyes jolted open when she felt herself getting lifted up , gasping in surprise .
" WHAT THE FUCK ! Renjun put me down right this instant boi !"
She screamed in fear .

" shut the fuck up before I throw you off the stairs , your screaming in my ear bitch ."
He hissed at her in a threatening manner .
She scoffed at him , doubting his words .
Of course he heard it , jolting his arms forward almost dropping her off his shoulder .

She gasped , holding onto him for dear life almost clawing at his arms .
He laughed at her , sending the vibrations to her body .
" see , I'm not kidding ."

She smacked his back as he neared her room , for almost making her heart jump out of her throat .

She smiled once he put her down on her bed , but that didn't last for long as he said , "you should be thankful . Girls would be dying to be in your place , in a different situation "

She threw her pillow at his face , cringing at his choice of words .

" I don't need to know about your sexual life bro ! Now get out before I call the police on a pervert in my room !"

He raised his fists , in a fighting stance jokingly " a pervert ! Where ?! Ow , okay okay I'm getting out . God , stop ."

" Pass me the pillow before you go , thanks . And close the door ."

She sighed in content when he got out , snuggling into the comfort of her bed sheets .

Drifting off to sleep .
