She was looking intently at the doctor in front of her , listening to everything he had to say about her after the check up .
Nothing too big , only a few bruises and cuts here and there that would fade away with time , she smiled and thanked her before she got up off the bed and out the door to the waiting room .
She sat for a few minutes waiting for the other guys to be done and then they'd get back home and rest for the week , it's not like they really cared about school and they were already planning on skipping anyway .
About ten minutes later , chenle came out with the doctor by his side , talking among themselves in a low voice that she couldn't hear .
She kept her eyes on them till the boy spotted her and greeted the man goodbye , he plopped down next to her , groaning at the impact .
" so ? How did it go , anything serious ?"
She asked still not taking her eyes off him , staring at him in anticipation and a little bit of worry . " Not really , a few fractured bones and that's it ."
She sighed , nodding in acknowledgement of his words .
They fell into silence , waiting for the other guy .
He was for sure taking long ,
It has been 30 minutes since chenle came out , and he shouldn't be taking that long unless something was wrong .
She was patting her foot against the ground in consciousness and worry , hands clasped , eyes never leaving the door he was supposed to come out of .
" What's taking him so long , "
Chenle said in worry and a hint of frustration . " I hope it's nothing bad ."
They went back to the same deadly silence , both staring at the door .
She couldn't take it anymore , she got up , going back and forth in the hallway , the boy's eyes following her every movement as she bit on her nails .
He sighed and got up , standing in front of the door the boy was in .
He knocked two times before he actually opened it , peeking in at the boy lying down on the bed , shirtless with a big , purple , swollen , area down his ribcage .
He stood there , frozen and gapping at the sight before him , it looked pretty bad , plus that it was right next to where his old scar was .
The girl peeked form behind the boy , wondering why he was just standing there , and oh boy , did she not like what she saw .
A gasp left her mouth , her hand shot up as it clasped it .
" oh my god ! What is that ?! "
The boy on the bed was panicking , reaching around for his shirt before he was stopped by the doctor , telling him that he shouldn't move and make it even worse .
" I'm sorry kids , but you need to stay out of the room . Your friend will be okay don't worry , I will update you on what's wrong once I get him treated ."
They really didn't want to get out , but they had to .
Tears were welling up her eyes , burning them along with the spikes she swallowed down her throat .
