Third Person POV

Mattia paced his room, biting his nails anxiously. The tall boys eyes brimmed with tears as his thoughts consumed him.

Why isn't he here?

Why is he with her?

Why aren't I enough?

Why doesn't he love me the same?

Mattia's tears slowly fell down his cheeks, down his neck, wetting his shirt. He was too tired to wipe them away. He was so tired.

He had given everything to Kairi, and it still wasn't enough. Mattia didn't understand why he loved him so much. All Kairi did was hurt him, and cheat on him.

Every night Kairi came home, smelling like perfume or with a new hickey on his neck. He hadn't even touched Mattia in months. He could barely look at him. The taller boy had broken down too many times to count, slowly breaking as the person he loved hurt him so much.

Kairi had drank himself stupid one night, telling Mattia all about his late night rendezvous'. Mattia had sat on the floor, his back against the closet door, and listened to how his husband explained in detail that he had had sex with other people. Women.

Ever since that night, almost two months ago, Mattia had been like a broken plate. Impossible to piece back together, scattered in shards all over the floor of their shared bedroom. His voice was permanently hoarse from the constant crying, he couldn't stop.

He couldn't stop the tears, the pain, the cheating. He couldn't do anything right. He couldn't even love right. How tragic.

Mattia continued biting his thumb nail, his tears still pouring but a lot slower. He seemed to always be crying. Maybe not sobbing, but the tears were always there. Right at the surface, waiting for Kairi to pull them out again.

The tall boy sat against his dresser, his back uncomfortably pressed against the drawer handles. He didn't care. He was constantly uncomfortable in this house. The house they shared. Kairi hadn't been home in nearly 3 days. Mattia called everyday, mostly hearing the phone ring twice before hearing the shorter man's voicemail. Declined.

Mattia crawled into the couples shared bed, falling into Kairi's side. He hadn't slept here in so long, the sheets had almost lost his scent. Almost.
