••Ale finds Mattia again, and never lets him go••
Third Person POVAlejandro grabbed his suitcase off of the moving belt, setting it on the ground next to him. He fished his phone out of his pocket, feeling the vibration against his thigh. He glanced at the contact name, smiling slightly as he answered the phone.
"Hey Mr. Polibio! Yeah, I just got my bag. It's gate.... 6! Okay, I'm coming!" Alejandro said excitedly into the phone, hurrying out of baggage claim to meet his boyfriend's father.
Alejandro and Mattia never lost touch, and decided that they would do long distance after they met this past summer. They'd been dating for almost 10 months now, and Alejandro had just landed in New Jersey for Mattia's graduation. Mattia had no idea about the huge surprise.
Mattia's parents had helped Alejandro plan the whole thing, from keeping him occupied when Alejandro couldn't talk on the plane, to taking his phone away when Alejandro needed time to plan. They had helped him so much with everything, he really owed this entire trip to them. This was the most important trip of his life. It would decide everything for him.
Alejandro finally makes his way into the main area of the airport, seeing Mattia's dad waiting outside his gate for him. Alejandro sticks his hand up, waving at his boyfriend's father subtly. Mattia's father waves back, smiling at Alejandro widely. Ale walks up to him, sticking his hand out for a handshake when Mattia's father pulls him in to a tight hug, surrounding the boy with warmth.
Alejandro hugged him back just as tightly. Mattia's father patted Alejandro's back, pulling away from the boy but keeping his hands on his shoulders.
"It's so nice to see you again, Ale. You've grown, it seems." Mattia's father said to Alejandro, squeezing his shoulders in a comforting manner. Alejandro chuckled lightly at the statement.
"I wish, maybe then your kid would quit making fun of me." Alejandro replied, laughing lightheartedly with the older man. Mattia's father let out a loud laugh, throwing his head back in delight. The older man wrapped his arm around Alejandro's shoulders, taking his suitcase from him.
"C'mon son, let's go see my boy graduate." Mattia's father said, smiling sadly at the fact that his son was growing up and he wouldn't be home for much longer. The older Italian man was dressed in a suit, much like the one he had waiting for Alejandro in the car, a surprise for the Costa Rican boy. Mattia's father led Alejandro to the car, heading off to the Polibio household to get ready for the event.
Mattia had been at the event center all day long. He hadn't had one chance to even text Alejandro because every time he pulled his phone out, he got yelled at to put it away and pay attention. Why did they even have to practice walking? It's not like everyone was wearing ridiculous heels.
