I read the letter again, then pinch myself. Ow. "Yep, I'm not dreaming," I mutter, rubbing my arm. Cori is wringing her hands. "What should we do?" she asks tentatively. I consider this for a moment, then reply. "We're going to talk to Evan Merandus and see if he can help us."
We find Evan in a courtyard talking to Seraph Tyros. Evan smiles when he sees me coming. Seraph bows with a murmur of "Your Highness", then retreats. Evan looks slightly puzzled as to why I'm approaching him with Princess Coriane, but smiles at me anyway. "Hey Lil! What's up?" he greets me. "Loooong story. I'll give you the highlights." After filling him in, he whistles. "Whoa. That's one heck of a story."
