"Hey, Chitoge?" Celes was examining the warm red summer dress she had picked out while shopping earlier.

The priestess was rating her outfit of a sailor top and skirt topped off with a red beret. "Yes, ma'am?"

Celes laughed nervously as she made her way back to the bed. "I was thinking. Wouldn't it be nice if we could stay here? It's been three whole days since the paladins attacked me and since none of us can use our powers in this world, they won't find me that easily."

Chitoge looked a bit tense at first but her expression softened. "It's peaceful here but we still have orders straight from Lord Order to reinforce defenses at Camtudori."

She fell back onto the bed and drew her palms along her face. "I can hardly hold my own against the paladins, I seriously doubt I'd be of any use against the Sects of Lord Destruction. I'd probably be the first one to get captured there."

"Even then, we still don't belong here." Chitoge pulled a handkerchief around her neck. "There's no telling what could happen if we stay here too long."

"Hm, you're right. But where do we get enough magic to open a portal? We have no contact with the others and I don't sense any return portals in this world."

Chitoge was about to speak when she was interrupted by a knock on the door. "I brought a friend over."

"Mr. Otonashi?" Celes took a moment to register the voice. "Come in."

Haru opened the door and slid inside rubbing the back of his head. "Hey, I brought Takumi over. He's gonna..." His voice stopped abruptly and his face went red. In a quick motion he rushed around to close the door but the person he was trying to hold back was already inside.

"Haru!" Takumi's face lit up as he fell to his knees, tears seeping through his eyes. "I knew it!"

"Takumi, it's not like that."

Celes and Chitoge exchanged glances.

"How can you be this lucky? Now there's two of them!"

Haru cupped his hands over his mouth. "Will you hear me out?"

Celes pulled the dress over her head and smoothed it along the curves of her body. "Mr. Otonashi, is your friend usually like this?"

"No, he's just..."

Takumi broke away from Haru and dashed over to the window where Chitoge was standing. "Hey Miss, if you ever feel left out just know that I'm here to-- ugh!"

There was a loud thud as the guy dropped to the floor after receiving a hefty blow to the face from Chitoge. "How shallow minded you are."

"That hurt!"

Chitoge grinned and stooped. "You ever come on to me like that again and I'll make sure it hurts even more."

Takumi sprawled onto the floor. "Haru, this one isn't so cute anymore!"

Haru rushed to his side and helped him up. "Come on, Takumi. You're embarrassing me."

Chitoge paused. "What does 'cute' mean?"

The boy frowned at her. "It's everything that you're not!"

Haru shook his head. "Don't mind him. He gets off being weird sometimes."

Celes looked between the two. "That wasn't nice, Chitoge."

The girl bowed, clasping her hands before herself. "I apologize for my behavior."

Takumi rubbed his cheek. "Why can't you be like that all the time?"

Chitoge flicked her hair over her shoulder. "We've only just met, how would you know this isn't how I normally am?"

"Well anyway," Haru intervened before his friend could respond. "Takumi's dad said we could use his flat until my house gets repaired. It won't cost anything and it's not all that far from here."

Celes nods. "It's not like we have much of a choice. We still need to rely on you until we can find a way to get home."

Takumi's ears perked up. "I forgot to ask, where are you two from anyway?"

Chitoge was about to speak but Haru signaled her not to. " They're from, uh... some remote part of Europe."

The boy made a face. "So that explains their cuteness." He flashed Haru a thumbs up. "Well done, my friend!" He threw him a ring of keys and made his way to the door. "I have to run. See ya tomorrow."

"Why would you lie about where we're from, Mr. Otonashi?" Celes had a concerned look on her face.

Haru sighed and waved her off. "I know Takumi can be a complete moron at times but even he won't believe you're a goddess. To be honest, even after what happened the other, I still can't believe it myself."

"Hold on, I remember you saying you hated the thought of the existence of gods. You never quite explained the hostility."

He didn't answer. "Let's start packing. This hotel is starting to feel too crowded a place for me."

Yeah, I know it's short but I'm trying my best to keep updating as frequent as possible. I'll start writing Chapter Five immediately so I at least have a basis for when I get some time off from work and stuff. Having a serious headache but what the heck, books are life!
