Celes screamed as her body connected with the ground This had been the second time she had traveled through a portal in a short while and free falling to the ground was an experience she could live without.

She massaged her temples only to realize she was the last one to exit the portal despite being the first one to enter the one at Camtudori. Her vision took a moment to adjust to the sudden shadiness of the woodland but the first thing to catch her attention was a sharp  yelp. Off to her right she could make out Chitoge lying still on the floor but Haru was pressed against a tree, his left leg in an awkward position. It took a second shrill screech from him to inform her what the matter was and she clumsily scrambled to fall at his side.

"Mr. Haru, are you..." Her voice trails off when she notices the huge puddle of blood being sourced by his leg.

"Don't worry," The boy fought through the pain to sound the least bit reassuring. "I think I'll be fine."

Celes stared in horror at the unending slick, sending her hands to the jut on mere impulse. "No, no, no..." Her hands were too small to keep in the huge rush of blood escaping him but she couldn't think of anything else to do. Her magic only healed Chitoge but Chitoge was the only one of the two who actually knew how to use healing magic.

Haru shuffled over. "Celes, relax. I'll be fine."

His words did nothing to help with her state of mind. "What do you mean you'll be fine? You're bleeding a whole lot."

The boy looked his upper thigh and sucked air through his teeth. "I won't die... hopefully."

Celes shot him an angry stare. How could he be making jokes about a thing like this? She let go of him and tore a piece of her dress then doing her best to wrap it around the wound. "I hope this holds until Chitoge gets up."

The make-shift bandage wasn't doing much but at least it lessened the bleeding. Haru looked down at her work then back at the goddess who was in a losing battle against the tears welling up in her eyes. "Celes..."

The girl didn't waste any time in throwing her hands around him. "I swear I'll make this up to you someday."

Haru was actually surprised by that but he did return the embrace. "What do you mean you'll make this up to me? I haven't done anything."

Celes said nothing. They remain locked in arms until the ruffling of bushes break them apart and a small party of knights clad in gold armor with the symbol for the army of  Lord Order emblazoned on their chest-plates emerged from the shrubs. Two of them held crossbows and had swords attached to their waists and four others followed with swords in hand.

"Lady Celes?" One of the female knights lowered her weapon and gestured for the others to follow suit. "What are you doing here?"

Celes rose to her feet and carefully helped Haru to his. "Camtudori was overrun by paladins ."

The knight tilted her head, a slight look of disbelief on her face for a moment. "We were told in the scenario you did show up here, it would only be you and the priestess." She gave Haru a studying glance. "So who is this?"

Haru was about to speak but Celes cut him off completely. "We can talk when we get to your outpost. He and Chitoge are in a bad state right now."

One of the crossbow wielding knights nodded and scooped the priestess off the ground. "Of course, m'lady."

The female knight bowed. "Yes, of course. Right this way."

Yeah, I know I've been away for a while and the chapter's short. Sorry about that, I just have a lot going on right now so I didn't get a chance to continue on my draft for the past few days. Anyway, hoping to start Chapter Fourteen soon. I sincerely hope you enjoy reading as much as I for writing.
