Separate Ways

After running home from her now ex-boyfriend, Vanessa calls up Rachel and apologizes to her for the way Mason had treated her all those years. "Rachel, I'm so sorry that Mason did all that shit to you. Are you ok?" She said in a concerned tone. "Yes Van, I'm alright. But why would he hit on me? I thought he really liked you. I remember back then when he and I were just "friends", he would always talk about you non-stop." "Ya well, things change Rachel, that prick and his little baby chihuahua sized dick ain't my problem anymore." "Vanessa, I have to go, my Dad made dinner." "Alright, see you later Rachel." They hang up the call and Rachel eats her dinner. "Are you alright honey bun?" Rachel's dad says while looking concerned. "I'm alright papa, It's my now ex-boyfriend, he hit on my best friend and was practically harassing her the entire school day." "Hun, I'm so sorry, does Vanessa wanna come over so she can ease her mind? It might make her feel allot better." Rachel calls up Vanessa and asks her if she wants to come over.

"Hey Van, Would you like to come over? My dad wants you over for dinner..." "Sure Rachel, I will be there right away." Vanessa goes over to Rachel's house but sees a suspicious black car on the other side of the road, she looks closer and sees that it's Mason sitting in the drivers seat of the car. Vanessa, looking terrified, sees him notice her, so she runs quicker to Rachel's house. Mason soon takes out a tranquilizer gun and aims it right towards Vanessa's thighs, when the dart hits Vanessa, she tries her best to scream for help but Mason rushes over to her quickly and covers her mouth and says to her softly "Listen here, whore, this is your fault that she left me.... now for you to experience the emotional and physical pain I had to endure...." Vanessa can barely feel her arms and legs, she starts to get drowsy and falls asleep in Mason's arms. Mason puts Vanessa in the front seat and buckles her in and puts a blindfold on her.

They arrive at a very old shack with a gorgeous bed and some nicely lit candles by the side of the bed with rose petals all across the bed. Before Vanessa becomes conscious again, Mason takes off her shirt and pants and sits her down on a wooden chair and handcuffs her arms and legs to the chair. "....where are we....? Why am I handcuffed.... M....Mason?" Vanessa says while trying to wake up from the tranquilizer that hit her. "Hello.... darling..... you know me.... yes?" "Mason.... what's going on?" "Well Vanessa, I thought about it long and hard.... and since you made me suffer.... why not make you suffer with me??" "Mason wait!!! What did I even do to deserve this shit?!" Mason slaps her across the face, "Shut up you whore... you're my slave now and I get to torture you all I want...." Mason grabs a knife and sharpens it, then heats it up gradually in the fireplace until it turns bright red. He turns towards Vanessa and looks her dead in the eyes with the hot knife - "What do you want burnt first.... darling? Your hands? Feet? Ears? Tell me or I will choose for you, you fucking slut..." She closes her eyes and sticks out her tongue and states "Why don't you cut off my tongue..... darling..... you know I have a bad mouth.... you wouldn't want me to tell everyone what you did to me.... right?" Mason stares at her angrily and slits her knee. "You see that you bitch? That'll be your tongue next time..." Vanessa slightly giggles as if she didn't feel the pain at all. Her phone vibrates, it's Rachel..."Hey love, I thought you were coming over?"

Mason sees her phone light up and vibrate. He rushes over to her phone and places her finger on the phone to unlock it, "how pathetic... still a fingerprint identification? You must be either naive or very retarded Vanessa..." Mason texts Rachel, "Hey boo, Sorry my dad called me back home something came up.... maybe later..." with some tears rolling down her face, Vanessa looks down and tells Mason quietly... "Just burn a symbol on my back and leave me alone...." Mason looks up at Vanessa and asks her- "What did you say you little slut?" "I SAID JUST BURN A SYMBOL ON MY GOD DAMN BACK!!!" Mason kicks her in the face, grabs her hair and yanks her head back, "I will..." he uncuffs her and pushes her on the bed with her back facing him. "So, what type of symbol would you like burned into your skin you slutty whore?" Vanessa says calmly- "I want this burned into my skin-" she points to the note in her purse that says, "To our future I must change, for I have seen the shadows and the light, the differences between them is like an inevitable fate that cannot be changed unless someone else changes it for you...." Mason looks closer at the note and asks Vanessa, "What is this cheesy ass shit?" "It's something my grandmother told me before she passed away.... she wanted me to get this engraved somewhere.... she said it would make me open my eyes....I still don't understand what it means but I do know it's something important...."

Mason begins to heat up the knife and writes word for word on Vanessa's back what the note says, Vanessa clutches her fists and tries not to scream in pain from the burn marks being made on her skin. After hours of pain, it's now 6:30 AM and Mason gets ready to head to school while Vanessa is tied down to the bed unconscious from the burn marks. He locks the front door and leaves the handcuff keys right by Vanessa with a note that says "During this time my slave.... you won't be able to leave for the next 2 days... your phone is with me and I messaged your parents that you are staying with Rachel for a few days.... in the mean time you can try to find a way to leave but I'm watching your every move. On the last day I will ask you a question, if you cooperate and answer the question correctly you may recieve every piece of property you own in one piece, if you don't cooperate or answer the question wrong.... I will punish you more and more harshly and sooner or later.... that pathetic little body of yours won't be able to withstand the pain and torture anymore. Please read the back for the question I wish for the answer to and remember.... you must answer the question correctly to be let free." With tears running down her face, Vanessa slowly turns over the paper that has 3 riddles on it.... each of them have a very dark answer to them.... it reads, "I'm inevitable to everyone even to animals but we may never know when it will happen. What am I?" With tears starting to run down her face she continues to read the other 2 riddles. "Time is the ticking bomb of death but whats the ticking bomb to know what that death is gonna be?" She continues to the last riddle that reads..."I may break down in tears and I can cause death if im broken too much, what am I?" She continues to read the note and it says in bold "THE ANSWER DOES CONTAIN DEATH BUT ALL 3 ANSWERS ARE DIFFERENT AND ALL 3 ANSWERS MUST MAKE A PHRASE OR MUST BE USED TO CREATE YOUR OWN PHRASE".
