He turned to his side, spread his arm to feel the other side of the bed. Empty. His eyebrows met as soon as he felt that it was empty.

He slowly opened his eyes. He pouted as soon as he proved that what he thought was real. Still, he reached for the night lamp on his side of the bed to even prove it. Yes, he was correct.

He got up from the bed and combed his hair with his fingers. He checked his phone. It was only 1 in the morning.

He walked to the bathroom and washed his face to wake himself up. He suddenly felt nervous. He looked at himself through the mirror. He had a really concerned face on.

His apartment unit was really dark but he still could see things clearly. He walked to the kitchen. Not here. A thought crossed his mind.

He saw her dressing gown by the table in the dining area. He walked to pick it up but saw something else. Seeing it doubled the pace of his heartbeat. It was an open bottle of sleeping pills.

He then rushed to the living room. Not here as well. He was starting to breathe heavily. He was getting more worried by the minute.

It was not the only time he saw a bottle of pills open. The other night, he saw her bottle of anxiety pills empty. But she had assured him that it had been empty for a while now and she just forgot to throw it away.

He trusted her more than anything and anyone in the world so he bought what she said. It wouldn't stop him from getting worried over her though.

Where could she be? He was thinking hard.

Still holding on to her dressing gown, he walked to the other side of his flat. Light. He finally figured where his light was. His heartbeat settled a bit after seeing the only lit up room in his apartment. It was coming from his work room.

He walked inside as the door was partially open. He sighed. She was standing by his desk, busy playing with the new lego set she had requested from him. She was really ecstatic when he gave that to her.

She loved playing lego and this was one of the ways that helped her with her anxiety issues. He was more than happy that there was something that was keeping her mind occupied.

She was deeply focused so his presence didn't get her attention. He walked silently to her and placed her dressing gown on her to prevent her from feeling cold.

"You woke up," she commented after noticing his presence. She was about to look at him but he stopped her as he tilted her body to make it stay, facing the table.

"Don't mind me, just continue that," he whispered, she nodded.

As he draped her dressing gown on her body, he held her, traced her arms with his hands and caressed her elbows. He then hugged her from the back. They stayed like that for 10 good minutes. He didn't mind, he actually liked it.

"Can't sleep?" he broke the silence.

She placed the last piece of lego to finally complete the whole piece. She brought her hands to feel his which was by her waist.

She nodded to answer his question. She figured out that he should have seen the bottle of sleeping pills by the kitchen table and it was no use of her to lie as he knew her too much.

"Instead of taking sleeping pills, I figured completing this set is better to make me sleepy," she honestly admitted.

"We need to wake up by 4 in the morning," he stated, as he gave a peck on the exposed part of her neck.

"I thought you didn't have a schedule tomorrow," her eyebrows met as she tilted her head to look at his face.

"Ouh, but I told your manager that I'll bring you to your company building later," he said as he gave another peck on her shoulder.

She turned to him and wrapped her arms around his body. He didn't let go of her embrace on her too.

"You don't have to do that," she told him.

He shook his head. "I insist," he told her as he gave her a peck on her temple. She smiled.

"We should go to sleep then," she told him and they both walked to their bedroom with fingers interlaced.

She had been living with him for a while now. They figured out that it was for the best. Her members tend to have different schedules so she was with him most of the time just so she would have company. If he was busy though, she would stay in her group's dorm and her members would ensure that she would have someone with her.

Her group was scheduled to have a comeback next month and a Japanese comeback the month after next. It was her first comeback since her hiatus. Most of her members are worried about her so they had told him to keep an eye on her. He did the same favor to them as well.

They both laid on the bed together. He offered his arm for her to be her pillow. She scooted closer to him. He brought his free arm to cover her with the blanket before placing his arm to her waist to hug her.

"Next time, tell me if you couldn't sleep," he told her, she nodded and smiled to him.

"I'd love to cook something for you but you know that I can't cook. Well, you saw how Namjoon~hyung and I messed up during our broadcast," she giggled to his reveal.

"But I can still make some chamomile tea for you or even sing you to sleep," he offered.

"I'd love that," she grinned.

"Seriously though, tell me if something is bothering you," he proposed. "Don't say you're alright when you're not. You know I would know it anyway," he continued.

"Don't worry. I may be a bit nervous about the comeback but I feel a lot better," she admitted as she brought her hand to caress his face.

He kissed her thumb as it reached to touch his lips. He closed their gap as he gave her a peck on the lips.

"Saranghae," he whispered to her.

"Nado," she inaudibly replied but he sure understood it.

"Jalja," he whispered again. She just smiled at him before she closed her eyes. He watched her as she fell asleep while humming her song, Promise. A song she absolutely loved.

There was no way he would allow anyone to hurt her. He wouldn't want her to experience what she had experienced.

He partly blamed himself for it even when she repeatedly told him that it wasn't his fault. It just suddenly happened. It was out of their hands.

If that was the case then, now, he would make sure that she would feel better and she would never feel that ugly feeling ever again. If he was too busy to look after her then, now, he would give her all the time in the world.

She was his first priority. She was his everything, his light in the dark, the love of his life.

This was inspired after seeing the process of how Jimin made his song, Promise on Break the Silence. So excited to see Mina's teaser for More & More. Will try to make a Tzukook oneshot, hopefully next weekend or sometime next week.
