Chapter 1 - Review My Kisses

Jen's POV

I just had finished my night routine which includes bath, face cleaning, brushing teeth, quick book reading and sometimes I update my twitter account and tonight I was about to turn off my bedside light when my phone started to go off,

A message from Leisha.

-I know, we already had this conversation  before, but I think it is time, we need to do this.

I took a long and deep breath, a huge part of me didn't want to entertain this conversation but at the same time my body felt energetic and suddenly my heart raced.

Why was my heart racing?  

Well, I didn't have time to submerge into my thoughts because another message came in on the group chat, this time from Kath.

   - I agree we definitely need to come back, I am done with the current lesbian shows, we need to admit, there is nothing like we did.

I wanted to answer them before going to sleep but I couldn't find exactly what to say and spent almost two hours rolling from one side of the bed to another.

Next day

05:30 am

As I couldn't fall asleep in a decent hour last night, I decided to snooze the alarm, I felt like I was partying all night, usually I am by the door no later than 06:15 am but today my morning run could wait 1 or 2 hours.

06:30 am

I woke up again, not pleased  with my phone ringing, I didn't even check who was calling, just grabbed into my ears.

    -What's going on? Aren't you in LA? Is the world ending or something? It is past 06:00 am and we don't see your booty running outside. - said a very energetic Leisha

    -What do you mean? - a half-sleep me answered

    -We are outside waiting for you - said her very disappointed

    -We? -I replied

    -Hi Jen -Kath's voice

    -I don't remember setting up this but it's okay, just give me a second and I'll be downstairs - while zooming to the bathroom

    -Can't you just let us in ?- said Leisha with irony

    -Of course, but you gotta have some coffee for me - I laugh

    -I have something even better - said her laughing

I rushed to the door to let them in

    -Gosh, what happened to you? - said, Leisha

    -Good morning to you Kath - I said ignoring Leisha which made her gag.

    -I will be right back, the grinder is on the top cabinet, you know what to do...  - I said while running upstairs.

Back to the living room.

    -Okay, where is the fire? Last time that you guys were here that early was when...( when Laurel and I had a disagreement on the set and they came to check on me)

    -Well.. as you totally ignored us last night we decided to just show up here and let you know that we got approval from Ilene and the network. TLW will return to another season. - Said, Leisha

    -What are you talking about? - my heart sank

    -You heard me, and you are in - said her with a big bossy smile

    -I am sorry, I am a little lost here,  what? When did this happen? - I was completely shocked

    -There is a couple of people working on the scrip and all the details but most importantly, we need you as a producer - This time was Kath

    -We know that you have a lot of projects,  we can see your table full of scripts , okay? but you can't say no to us.

    -First of all, WOW, and WOW!!!! I was not expecting this, we spoke about it many times but I never thought that the network would say yes and you're right I can't say no, I just need to make some arrangements but I think I can make it work. I will make it work. - I was beyond excited with the news

    -But there is a problem - said Leisha with a puppy face

    -Of course, that is probably why you are here, Oh gosh, go on...  - I rested my coffee at the table because I knew that something big was coming.

    -Laurel might not join us, and we need you to talk to her - said Kath with a very serious voice.

Just by listening to her name made my stomach sick, I could feel my nerves rising and my hands started to sweat, its been a while since we stopped talking, actually, its been a long time.

   -Me? Why me? - they probably could read my face

   -Because... - Leisha with her ironic face

   -Because you're now one of the producers and I am sure that you are the only one that can make this happen. - Kath added trying not to make me even more uncomfortable.

In my mind, I had all our scenes playing in a timelapse, our moments out of the set together, I miss her, I miss her so much, but everything got us in the wrong direction and I don't know how am I supposed to connect with her again.

  - Right?! Said Leisha bringing me back to the conversation

  - I will talk to her - I said moving around the room.

  - Great talk, we got this guys, and let's keep moving Leisha, we have some other embushments today - said, Kath

  - Can we go out for dinner tomorrow so we can talk all about it? I said with excitement following them to the door.

  - Sure, I will call everyone - said Leish

We said goodbye and they left

I went for a long run and kinda lost track of time, my mind was all about her, I think about her all the time but now it is different, that could be a chance to finally work it out between us. I miss her more than anything, I miss her touch, her lips and how alive she makes me feel so I decided to call.

The phone rang for the fourth time while my anxiety was about to kill me and suddenly she picks up.

12:15pm

  - Hi - Her sweet voice

  - Hi... hm... Are you in LA? - I said

  - Yes, why? - short and direct

  - I need to see you - I said almost begging

  She was silent for a while and I could hear her breath gets havier

  - I can come to your place tonight - we both got silent again

  - I would love that -  My heart raced

  - See you at 7:00 pm - and she rang up the phone.

I wanted to scream of joy and anxiety but I had no time to process all that, I had to get everything set up before tonight.
