You Can't Break What's Already Broken (Demus)

Janus was currently just waking up and stretched. He had an amazing sleep mostly because the beds on the light side were so much more comfortable then the ones on the dark side.

He felt a little bad that Remus was still sleeping on those hard and uncomfortable beds. But hey, Remus might join? Janus didnt know and just lied on the bed remembering a few things.

Remus was crying his eyes out and looked awful. He and Janus had lost Virgil and Angel. Janus didn't see anything but knew Remus was having nightmares.

"Hey Remus its okay...They'll come back" Janus said smiling. Remus looked up at him and his heart broke in half. "How can you be so sure? What if YOU leave me too!?" He said crying.

Janus hugged Remus tightly. "I will never..." He promised. Remus hesitated but then melted into the hug happily.

Janus flinched slightly coming back to the present. He had left Remus. A sinking feeling pierced his stomach. After all, the two did everything together.

Janus would cook since Remus loved his food, Remus would make inappropriate but hilarious jokes. They both would tease the others.

He wondered how Remus was holding up. He remembered what had happened when the others left. Remus went into a horrible state, wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, and when he did he got nightmares. Those times he was fine after a day or two though because he knew he had Janus.

But now...He didn't know. Jumping up he ran out telling the others he was going to go to the store, which was a lie.

He rushed to the dark side and quietly leaned on the door. He heard nothing. Silence. Panicking he knocked. "Remuss? REMUSS?" He asked.

Suddenly the door opened to show an okay Remus. He looked like he always did and the place was fine. "Hey Jan!" He grinned.

Janus knew something was wrong. Remus never called him Jan or Janus. It was always Dee Dee or double D. Suddenly it hit him.

Remus was also imagination. Like Roman he could make people see things. If they wanted to see something he could make it happen.

"Remuss stop." He said seriously. Remus looked confused. "Um stop what Jan?" He asked. Janus walked into the house. Remus turned pale.

"I know this is you using your powers. Stop it". Remus looked away. "Hey Jan I think you should go, the others might get worried." Remus said.

Janus shook his head. "I'm not leaving until you stop." He growled. Remus stood there for a minute not moving. He didn't want to give up. He wanted Janus to go. But he knew Jan wouldnt leave until he stopped.

He sighed before stopping. The room darkened greatly and Janus gasped. The house looked awful. Things were torn and ripped to shreds. Remus' face was stained with tears and he looked thin and weak.

Janus ran forward. Remus put out his hand. "Stop. Go. You said you'd leave once I stopped and I did. Now leave!" He yelled.

Janus felt awful. It was his fault Remus was like this. He walked home silent the whole way. He closed his eyes thinking about what he should do. Suddenly and idea popped in his head. He was going to ask the light sides for help.

Meanwhile with Remus he was still freaking out. He locked all windows and door and curled up in the corner. He still hasn't eaten, he hasn't done anything besides cut and cry.

Why was he still here? He wasn't needed at all. He lost everyone. He wanted to die for good. Roman could rule all of imagination and things would be fine.

He looked down at the fresh cuts from just a few minutes ago and smiled. He was broken. It was beautiful. He never knew anyone could be this sad and depressed but he even shocked himself.

He looked up at the ceiling. Tomorrow. Tomorrow he would end it all. You know what? He'll hang himself. He has some rope in his room. But that's tomorrow. And he needed sleep.

Janus wasn't happy. He burst into the light sides house tears running down his face. Patton was the first to notice and ran up.

"Kiddo what's wrong? What happened?" He asked concerned. The others joined him and asked the same thing.

Janus broke down telling them everything. Everyone was shocked. Patton was close to tears, Logan couldn't process any of this, Virgil was extremely shocked, and Roman..Oh Roman.

He didn't know what the hell to think. Sure he dislikes Remus a lot but he is his brother! He would never wish anything like this on him.

"What can we do...?" Patton asked looking at Logan. Logan thought for a moment before answering.

"Tomorrow morning we must talk to him. Get him to open up or something. This is unhealthy for him." He said.

Everyone turned to him waiting for him to answer. "Janus. You and Roman need to go visit him tomorrow and try and bring him here. Patton and I will wait here with support and comfort things so we can all chat. Virgil. You make sure Thomas is alright" he said.

Everyone nodded. It might work. At least they hoped.

Back with Remus.

Remus just curled up in his bed which he would never leave. Laughing slightly he closed his eyes not even scared to face tomorrow.

He was no doubt going to end it all.

(So sorry! I am one of those people who lose the strength to do something very quickly. And I'm also sorry this is so short. Hopefully this story gets better haha)
