Chapter 6

Rose's POV

When I woke I smelled food in the kitchen. I went to investigate what the food was. I found Oleana cooking in the kitchen.

"Good morning Rose. Just in time for breakfast."

I went to go set the table. I found the plates, silverware, and cups. It didn't take me long to find them.

Everyone started to come down because they smelled the food. "Breakfast is good as always", I tell Oleana.

I went outside after breakfast. I was running around the house when I saw Dimitri's father coming up to the house.

I stopped running and ran to him. "Oh no you don't. You are not ruining this family as much as you have", I say.

He stops walking and I keep walking to him. I start punching him. "How do you like that? Yeah I know how you used to hit Oleana. Dimitri told me how you hit her. He also told me when he got older he used to hit you. You are just getting a taste of your own medicine."

I keep hitting and kicking until he is all battered and bruised. He begs me to stop. I eventually stop. Then I drag him to where I know strigoi will be and leave him there.

I sense strigoi coming and I run like hell back. I keep in the sunlight so then they don't come at me.

When I got back to the house every started to ask, "Where did you drag him?" "I dragged him to where I know where there will be strigoi."

"What you did was brave", says Dimitri. "I was just giving him a taste of his own medicine."

After we were done talking I went outside and ran around Baia. It wasn't very long. When I got back I got a call, it was Hans.

"Hathaway speaking."

"Hathaway the queen is dead and Vasilisa is going to be queen", Hans said. "You also need to get her somewhere safe."

I went back inside. "Liss, I need to talk to you."

We went outside. "The queen is dead and you are the new queen. We also need to get you somewhere safe."

We went inside and I rang up the one and only Abe. My old man.

"Hello, this is Abe Masur speaking."

"Hello, dad. The queen is dead and I need to get Liss somewhere safe. I was thinking you could help us."

"Yes I have a jet and fly you out to Turkey with me."

"Okay. Thank you."

I hung up and went to the living room. I saw Paul there.

"Hey Paul. How's school going?"

"It's boring. I've gotten into a fight because these boys where fighting over a girl. They were about to hit each other but I stopped them."

"Wow. I would have just punched them in the nose and tell to get over themselves."

"See ya later."

I went to the kitchen and saw Dimitri, Tasha, Liss, Sparky, Eddie, and Oleana.

"Hey guys."

"Abe is going to be here in a couple days. Oh Liss you are the new queen. Tatiana is dead. So we are going to Turkey."

"Hey Oleana do you have a gym of some sort?"

"Yeah down in the basement."

"Thanks."

I went down to the basement. I found some wrap and wrapped my hands. Found the nearest punching bag and started hitting it. I let out all of my anger and frustration out on the bag. I was angry at my mother for not being there for me at my darkest and saddest moments. But she wasn't. She's a horrible mother.

I was punching and kicking so hard I didn't here someone come down.

"Hey, Rose. Your mom is here."

Great that's just the best thing.

"Also we can here you from upstairs. What did the punching bag ever do to you?"

I went upstairs and found my mom.
