Chapter 8

Rose's POV

Abe got there and I told him, "I need to be at Court in at least 4 days."

"If you need to be at court then we should get you there right away." said
Abe.

"I have a van outside."

We went outside and piled in. Abe was driving so I got in passenger's seat.

Abe finally broke the silence.

"So Rose did you really take down Janine?"

"Yes I did. I took her down. When she was leaving I said 'Bye asshole'. She came at me so I broke her nose and gave her a black eye. I told her, 'Don't underestimate me, Janine.' Then she sulked off and hasn't came back."

After what I said no one said anything. So I fell asleep. I dreamed Janine was a strigoi and was turning me into one too.

I woke up screaming in my head.

"Rose what's wrong?"

"Bad dream. Very bad dream."

No one said anything so I went back to sleep. This time I wasn't dreaming of Janine turning me into a strigoi.

When I woke up it was dark. When we were heading to the plane we were ambushed by strigoi.

"Just my luck."

There was 5 and one of them was Victor Dashkov.

I was heading for him when one jumped right in front of me. I took him down quickly.

When I got to him he attacked but I dodged. I slashed his face with my stake he screamed and left his heart wide open so I took the opportunity to stake him.

When we were done with the strigoi I took down two while Dimitri, Mason, and Eddie took down one.

Liss stood there horrified. "I thought he was in jail."

"Apparently he found a way out and turned. That bastard."

We got on the jet and headed to Court. Of course I fell asleep on the jet.

When I woke up we were at court. I got off and headed straight to Hans office.

I didn't bother to knock. I went straight in.

"Hello Hans.

"Hello Rose."

"I am here and ready to be apart of the elite team of guardians."

"Great. We have got them ready and are waiting for you."

"Where are they?"

"They are in the gym."

"Thanks." I left his office and headed to the gym.

When I got to the gym I saw people in there.

"Hello I am Rose Hathaway."

"Lets introduce ourselves. Lets start with you." I sad pointing to a girl.

"My name is Kelly." "I am Castor." I am Tank." "I am Ashley." "I am Katie." "I am Isaac." "I am Joe." "I am Kaylie." "I am Eric." "And last but not least I am Kat." "It is nice to meet you all and I am your leader. You can call me Sarge or Sargent Silencer."

"Okay let's see what you can do. Kat you are up."

She went to attack me but I took her down. "Improve on attacking." "Kaylie." She started to attack me and she gave me a black eye. "Good job. Eric." He attacked me and I dodged and broke his nose. "Need to work on attacking. Joe." When he went to attack me he punched but I caught his arm and threw him down. He quickly got up and kicked at my legs. He got me down. "Nice job."

"Isaac." He came to attack me I quickly dodged. I went to punch him but he caught my arm and flipped me. I quickly got up in a crouching position and knocked him off his feet.
"Good."

"Katie." She came and attacked me. I grabbed her arm and flipped her. She got in a crouching position and knocked me down. "Good."

"Ashley." She came and attacked me she punched me in the nose and I went down, but knocked her off her feet. "Thanks for the broken nose."

"Tank." He came at me like a tank but I dodged and pinned him. I got up and he knocked me off of my feet. "Nice job."

"Castor." He tried to kick at my legs but I jumped. When I landed he got me in the thigh. He tried to punch but got flipped instead. "Keep it up."

"Kelly." When she came at me I was tired but not that tired. She went to kick me but got her leg caught in my hands. I flipped her and it was done.

"I think you should get code names."

"Tank what are you best tat?" "Bashing bricks with my head." "Tank you are Basher." "Ashley what are you go at?" "Sneaking up behind people." "You are Sneaker." "Castor?" "Just call me X." "Kelly?" "Call me Mayfly." "Katie?" "Zook." "Isaac?" "Rocket." "Joe?" "Rockhead." "Kaylie?" "Rat." "Eric?" "Tank." "Kat?" "Call me mouse." "These are ridiculous but they work. Now lets get to training. 35 laps."

We went to the track. I was leading them around. When we were done we went back to the gym and picked partners. I got Zook and Rocket. Zook got me down but Rocket couldn't. Rocket got me in the eye.

When we were done training I got my nose cleaned and everyone had at least a black eye or broken nose. My luck I got a broken nose and a black eye. "Lets go get something to eat."

We headed to the cafe. When we got in the cafe people gave us weird looks.

We sat down at a table and I called for a waiter. I heard someone scream, "Rose." "Hey Lissa." She came up and hugged me. I noticed something.

"Are you pregnant?" "Yes!! And I want you to be the god mother." Lissa said so excited.

"Lissa, Sparky, Dimitri meet my squad. This is Rat, Mouse, Rockhead, Mayfly, Sneaker, X, Zook, Rocket, Tank, and Basher. Also my name is Sarge."

"Rosie I didn't know you could be a sarge." said Sparky.

"Call me Rosie again. I dare you."

"Okay. I didn't know you could be a sarge. Rosie."

I broke his nose. "Don't call me Rosie again. Or that will happen."

"Now I have to go change. Bye Rosie."

I kicked him and sent him flying to the door. But grabbed him by the foot and yanked him back. "Don't call me Rosie. You will get your ass kicked if you call me Rosie one more time. Got that okay. Now go." He ran away in fear.

"I don't think he will be messing with me any more."

I went to go sit down with my squad.

"Lets get something to eat."

"Waiter. We are ready to order!"

The waiter came over and I told her, "I will have a cheeseburger." Everyone said, "I will have the same thing as her."

We waited 10 minutes for our food. I had mine down in 5 bites. "I didn't know you could eat that fast." Mayfly said surprised.

"Yeah I have an apatite." We all laugh at that. "We need to get back to the gym because we will be spending 24/7 in there except for when we eat and sleep. Got that?" and everybody shook their heads yes. "Okay. Your rooms will be right next to mine so Mayfly and Sneaker are with me. Rocket, Basher, Tank are with each other. X and Rockhead together. Rat and Zook are together. All of you will be near me, Mayfly, and Sneaker. X, Rockhead, Rat and Zook right side. Rocket, Basher, and Tank left side. Got that. Now let's go back to the gym."

We got to the gym and started laps around the track. Of course I was in lead. "Come on slow pokes try to beat me." I challenged them. "You know what I hate you right now", said everyone in unison.

"Quit complaining or I will make it 50 laps." They started to complain. "50 laps it is. Get going." I yelled at them.

When we were done with running our 50 laps we did combat. I had two partners. I took them down.
