*If there's no POV it's third person by the way*
Luke's POV-
I had group I didn't quite know what to expect since I haven't seen many of the people there in a while.
When I first walked in, I was met with the same silence I grew familiar with three months ago.
The couple wooden chairs lined up all around in a circle, all facing each other as it they would start a conversation.
If chairs could talk what would they say?
'How's those butts feeling?'
'Break a leg?"
It would be amusing to hear non-existent chair voices talking while you're sitting.
I saw the familiar boy that was in his usual pink skirt which made his eyes stand out a bit.
And a very protective green eyed curly next to him.
Instantly, I smiled in happiness cos they had been my first friends in group, even after they left into independent living.
My eyes trailed around the room till I spotted the colorful hairdo of my nest friend, Michael.
I walked up to him and took a seat next to him, his attention focused on some other boy next to him.
"Hmm.......is this seat taken?", I grumbled in the deepest voice ever.
Michael slowly turned around to look at me, his eyes widening as well as his now wide grin.
"Luke!", he shrieked in excitement, hugging me and kissing my cheek.
We didn't have time to talk since Henry, a tall old African man with a stumbled on his chin and big brown eyes, walked in and took a seat at the chair right in the middle of the circle.
"Today we are here once again, we shall now begin. Any volunteers to share with the others?", he asked gesturing around to the others.
A boy to my right with a mess of sandy blonde hair spoke up quietly, voice barely above a whisper, "My social worker said I might be able to get adopted soon, if my dad signs the release papers."
We all nodded and Michael went next, "My adopted family says I might get a little brother! How cool is that?!"
.
Group had ended a while ago and now Michael, Harry, and Louise were talking as we walked to the frozen yogurt place down the road called Tutti Frutti.
It was heaven placed on earth, trust me. If the purged happened, besides rescuing Ashton, I would rob the store. But, like said, first I would have to rescue Ashton.
As we neared the place, Michael beamed in excitement ready to but his usual 2-pound cup of blueberry ice cream with a top of mini-gummy bears and M&M's.
I was forced to memorize it cos when we were the all in boys group foster home, we would always leave and come here.
I always got the mango cos it reminded me of happy times. When shit like this didn't happen.
After we all got our flavors, we placed them in the middle of the table as we all ate out of each each other's (yogurt).
Louise and Harry would feed each other meanwhile Michael and I caught up.
He had a family. He was adopted by them. It made me happy since the colored haired boy was like my best friend.
He says the family is nice to him and the wife is looking to adopt somebody else.
