So a family member just texted me a metaphor describing me.

It reads (and I quote) "Hailey think I can understand you better. You are like a shadow: You're there but nobody really notices you." 

Really???

COME ON (it wasn't my brother, I'll give you that much)

But really? 

I mean, you aren't supposed to TELL ME that you don't like me, or don't notice me. 

*Punches wall*

I'm better.

THIS SONG IS MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.

and, if anything, I'm a shadow in the sense that I'm dark and mysterious. 

Nobody REALLY knows who I am.
