Archer Isaiah E. Paraiso knows that he's charming and he could make any girl fall for him. With his basketball skills and his irresistible smile, he knows his way.

But my mom warned me about Paraiso boys and how their smile would make your heart skip a beat and butterflies in your stomach go wild.

"Ileia," Archer called. I sighed, rolling my eyes before turning to look at him. "Watch a movie with me?" he asked.

My face scrunched up as I watch him pretend to be shy. Looking down at his shoes, his hands in his pocket. Looking anywhere but my eyes.

This wasn't Archer Isaiah. Archer Isaiah was noisy, confident and he knows what he wants.

"I'll ask my parents." he seemed to be satisfied with my answer. His gaze finally met mine and he smiled.

"See you, Ileia." I waved and sat down on the bench, waiting for my dad to pick me up.

Archer Isaiah became Arch, my boyfriend.

"You know, I'll wait for you." I sighed. Lumapit ako kay Arch para yakapin siya. He continued to fold my clothes and put them inside my luggage.

"I know," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "But my mom and your dad experienced this and I just don't want us to end up like them."

He pulled me into his lap and tightened his grasp on my waist. "We are not our parents, Ileia. Hindi ako si Brent at hindi ikaw si Elin."

"I'm just scared that if we love each other too much like they did, we'd end up destroying each other."

"That would never happen, Ileia." he kissed my knuckles. "Because from the moment I met you, I knew that it's you."

Tumingin ako kay Archer. "Mahal na mahal kita."

"Mahal kita, Ileia Cansino."

That was it, I am Ileia Cansino not Elin. And he is Archer and not his father.

Some things are meant to end, and some no matter how much you want to end just won't, because it's meant to be.

that was us, we are meant to be.
