Through This Dance

Chapter 17

Liv was inside the burning building looking everywhere for Derek and trying not to get burned, Derek was still in the supply closet trapped and no one could hear him. Luckily, Derek found a way to get the duck tape off his mouth, he breathes heavily on the tape which made it come off his face. The tape was off his mouth, but he was still tied with a rope and locked in the closet, "LIV!!!!!" He screamed. Then, he noticed the door burning, "LIV!!!!!" He screamed again and coughed, Liv couldn't hear him. Liv was running all over the studio trying to find Derek, when suddenly, a burning piece of wood hit her arm as she fell to her knees and screamed. She managed to get up and keep searching, Derek was still tied up when the sweat from his wrists started to form, he moved his wrists up and down trying to break free from the rope and he did, Derek was still locked in the closet and Liv hasn't found him yet. He stood up and banged on the door, "LIV!!!!!!" He screamed, Liv then heard a voice from the supply closet as she turned around, "DEREK!!!!!" She screamed. Derek managed to bust the door down and he was free! Derek then found Liv, unconscious and surround by fire, "LIV! NO!" He screamed. Derek ran by her side and he started to cry, the fire was burning the building, "I'm not leaving without you" he said to her. Liv started to cough as her eyes fluttered open, she stared at Derek and tears came down her face, "Derek!" She said "Liv!" He said they both came in for a hug and both said at the same time, "You came back for me". They then noticed the building burning and Liv stood up and covered her mouth, "We gotta get out of here" she said, Derek thought of a plan, "The air vent" he said and they rushed into the air vent trying to find a way out. Meanwhile, Tom was looking nervous as Erin came back with news, "I looked for them EVERYWHERE and I can't find Derek and Liv" she said. Val came rushing through the doors, "GUYS, THE REHEARSAL BUILDING IS ON FIRE!" He said and everybody followed Val outside to the burning building. Tiffany was hiding in a bush away from the building and smiled sinisterly, she faced the building and said, "How about we have an EXPLOSION ending, shall we?" She held up a time bomb and threw it into the studio and knew Derek and Liv were in there. The bomb would go off in 1 minute, Derek and Liv were shuffling through the air vent to find a way out. The smoke has gotten through the vent and Derek and Liv couldn't breathe, Liv was coughing and stopped crawling as Derek turned around and stopped crawling to stay by Liv's side. She lied down on the floor as Derek shook his head, "No, NO!" He screamed, and Liv stopped him, "Everything is gonna be fine" she said weakly and she touched Derek's cheek, "I love you" she said barely to Derek and closed her eyes. Derek was having a break down, "NO! NOOOOO!" He screamed and bang his fists on the vent floor, "LIV, WAKE UP!" He screamed again. Tears were coming down Derek's face as he touched Liv's cheek, "Please" he said, "I love you too" he said to Liv, Derek gave up and held Liv in his arms and stayed in that spot. Firefighters came outside of the studio and rushed to Tom, "Is everybody alright?" One asked, "We're fine. Thank you for coming" Tom said. The building finally exploded from the bomb and everybody fell back in shock and screamed, Tiffany was looking from a balcony above, she viewed everybody's faces smiled sinisterly and walked away. The fireman got up, "WHO THE HELL IS IN THAT BUILDING?!" Asked the fireman, "I DON'T KNOW!" Replied Tom. Inside, the building was completely destroyed, the air vent was burning, but Derek and Liv were still together. Derek's vision was getting fuzzy, he saw a fireman coming his way and finally Derek lost consciousness and fell on the vent floor, next to Liv.
