Derek and Liv went on to winning Dancing with the Stars that year and Tiffany Blake was disqualified from DWTS and lost her career as an actress from that night and as a punishment, served as a janitor. After Tiffany was disqualified, Mark got a new partner, a European model, Maria Lopez and they finished in second right behind Derek and Liv. Liv's music career sky rocketed as she won a Grammy and went on a world tour that year. Derek kept dancing and both of Derek and Liv's burns recovered and the rehearsal studio was rebuilt. Chad ended up writing a book, Why I Listened to the Devil, about Tiffany and it became a best seller. Derek and Liv got married and they danced their first dance, the Jive to "Dear Future Husband" at their wedding. On Christmas Eve, Liv was pregnant and Derek brought her to the Hough house for dinner, they were eating dinner and having a good time together. Liv felt something during dinner and she tugged Derek's sleeve and Derek looked at her, she had tears in her eyes of joy, "It's time" she said and Derek stood up to make an announcement as Liv was smiling as happy tears fell from her face. Hours later on December 24th at 10:34 PM, the Hough family walked into Liv's hospital room as Derek and Liv Hough welcomed the birth of their baby twins Thomas and Abigail.
