(This starts off in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate timeline)
After Tyler just fell out of the portal that he had jumped through, he got badly injured from the initial explosion and from the impact of the ground. This caused him to be knocked out cold. A Chaotic Gore Magala passed by and saw him laying there unconscious (The Magala was made an outcast for looking different in it's physical appearance and for not being much of a fighter) and decided to help him recover since he didn't appear to be a threat and didn't have any armor or weapons to signify that he was a hunter.

After a few weeks of recovery, Tyler and Magala had respect for each other. Tyler went off to become a hunter to try and help out the different villages with their monster problems, but told Magala that he would make sure that she would stay off the hunting board. Tyler became a professional hunter with his Seregios Greatsword and armor made out of the extra shedded scales from Magala.

Though he was a master hunter, he never killed the monsters unless it was absolutely necessary. Rather, he would try to negotiate with them and/or try to steer them away from the villages. His hunting career sent him over to the storylines of Monster Hunter Generations/ Generations Ultimate and eventually over to the events of Monster Hunter World. The final quest that was given to him was a of a massive unidentified dragon that has never been seen before rampaging across the lands killing every hunter that had attempted to stop it. Tyler realized that his current equipment was just not going to be enough. So he decided to do a complete armor and weapon overhaul to be able to combat this threatening monster.

After he upgraded both his greatsword and armor, he had set off to stop the monster for good. It didn't take too long for Tyler to find the monster due to the path of destruction it left behind. This dragon was a monstrous 85 meters tall and could cover a little more than a half of a football field in size. It also seemed to have a unique power to corrupt and turn monsters into it's slaves to do whatever it wanted if it's attacks made contact (This unique ability did not effect humans however). After a hard fought battle that lasted for almost an entire day, Tyler eventually emerged victorious. However, he was badly wounded, his armor was completely broken, and his greatsword was not too far off from having the same fate has the armor. Soon after the dragon finally succumbed to its wounds and died, it collapsed on itself out of nowhere and created another wormhole that Tyler, once again, got sucked into. Sending him to another universe yet again. This time... he was sent to the Digital World (The Digimon Universe).
Tyler proceeded to follow the events of Digimon Fusion and eventually had a hand in helping saving the Digital World from Lord Bagra. Tyler noticed after Lord Bagra's defeat that he appeared to have the same corruption power as the dragon he had fought in the Monster Hunter Universe. After everything was said and done for the Digital World. Tyler went to search for the base that has a controlled portal that got him into this entire mess in the first place. He found the run down facility after searching for a few weeks and saw that the group never dismantled it. He went digging around the facility and eventually found out how to activate the machine.
Tyler fired up the machine and used it to hop around the multiverse in search of the origin of this sinister corruption that seemed to be spreading around. At this point, Tyler had been going around in multiple universes for 2 years and eradicated the corruption from each one. He eventually stumbled upon a hellish looking dimension with destruction all around.

Tyler felt the sinister presence akin to that of the corruption he had been fighting for so long. Tyler proceeded to move forward into the dimension, ready to fight and end whatever or whoever was causing the corruption.
He should just ignored it... the encounter with "him" would become an event that changed everything... forever...
