We were all still too shocked to move, but I felt kinda awkward standing in silence but I also didn't want to be the first one to break the silence. So I stood there looking shocked.Luffy was very, I mean VERY, angry and annoyed. We all had a silent agreement that our goal of saving Nami was abandoned for the time being but it wasn't changed to 'operation obliterate Nami the betrayer and murderer'. Of course Luffy wouldn't suspect Nami killing Usopp but he said nothing. His straw hat shaded his eyes, he was confused and didn't know what to do (almost). It was still silent.
Zoro broke the silence, "Our business here is done, Nami proved herself a traitor by killing Usopp and now we don't have to rescue Usopp because....."
"Nami didn't do this..."Luffy sounded unsure of himself.
"Of course Nami-chan couldn't have done this barbaric thing!" Sanji chirruped, then obviously regretting it.
"I won't leave until I hear from Nami," Luffy said, determined.
I stayed quiet, Luffy was confused. This was the first time he has experienced any kind of feeling of betrayal. Although it was my first time as well, I didn't trust people as willingly and quickly as Luffy would, I wasn't as innocent and naive as Luffy. I say this although Luffy was older than me (just by a bit according to the fake birthday), he might be masking his intelligence under that pretence to be stupid since he has had his serious moments when a nakama is hurt of something important to him is put on the line. The confusion Luffy was expressing made it clear that Luffy was as innocent and naive as I thought.
Luffy started walking inland, into the village. It was deserted. The wind made a ghostly whisper sound as it passed through the seemingly empty houses. The lack of human presence made goosebumps appear on my arms, I subconciously shuffled closer to Luffy. I detected no movement from the houses as we passed through the empty village, except for the creaking of signs that hung outside of shops swaying in the wind. I didn't like it. There was something about the village that was wrong. Out of no where a guy appeared, "You should leave. Leave. Before they get you." He looked frighted but that was all he said before walking on.
Outside the village were fields, miles and miles of rice fields. It was more natural here but the lack of people working on these fields were also disturbing. There was the occasional farmer that lifelessly dragged a wagon loaded with herbs accross the plain but that was all.
"Have you seen Nami?" Luffy asked one of them.
The farmer flinched at Nami's name but otherwise shook his head. We walked for a while but didn't come across any more farmers, we only met around 2 including the one we just talked to anyway.
"This is hopeless," Zoro sighed.
Luffy collapsed on the ground, silent.
"Nami proved her betrayal by killing Usopp? What else can we do?" Zoro continued.
Sanji kept silent this time. He probably thought through about Nami being a traitor and deemed that it was possible and he didn't want to turn out wrong.
Luffy held out his hand and stared at the sky.
I sat down beside him, Zoro went and leaned against a tree, Sanji stood under the shade and lit a cigarette, Yosaku and Johnny were by Zoro but minding their own business. It was strange seeing Luffy subdued and quiet like this but talking was never my greatest feat also its good to give him some time to think and clear his mind. I remained by his side, silent. Actually, it was scary to see Luffy so conflicted, my mind raced for a way to bring back the old cheerful Luffy.
Sounds of a horse drawn carriage/wagon/thing to carry a bunch of stuff in drawn by a horse was heard. Since Luffy was lying directly in the middle of the road, he stood up. Well, we were looking for Nami but it seems like luck was on our side. Nami was on the carriage/wagon/thing. She urged the animal to go faster but Luffy stood his ground and refused to move, he wanted an answer. I was by his side, ready to blow the carriage away in case Nami decided not to stop. Nami slowed down, she used her brain and decided that it was going to be faster to tell Luffy what he needed then disappear.
"Come back and join us! You promised to join my crew... I won't leave until you join us," Luffy asked, his eyes had a little more life in them now and a hint of hope.
"Stay out of my business," Nami said, coldly then went off.
Well, that went well. Luffy flopped back onto the road again after he looked more depressed than before. Gee thanks Nami! A depressed Luffy, how the heck did she get Luffy to be depressed like this?! I didn't even know it was possible to get Luffy to stay quiet for more than 3 seconds and now he's giving us the silent treatment? This is not Luffy.
"Yo,"I said, I had to say something.
Luffy just nodded, acknowledging my existence.
I took off my hat and covered his face then kissed roughly about where his forehead would be, "Oi, everyone have difficult times but being quiet isn't the way to deal with them. As the captain ((hoping that captain would get his attention)) of this crew, you should let at least your right hand man/woman know right?"
I sat back in my original position hoping that what I said would at least have some affect. I waited. I got kinda embarrased after what I did now that I was thinking about it. It has been a while since anything has happened. Luffy sat up. My hat dropped from his face, his hand was prepared to catch it, he pushed the hat down on my head and stared at me. He gave me one of his big cheesy grins and said,"Your right!"
We went back to the boat and decided to stay there for a while as we discussed whether or not we should leave the island. Luffy was sounding more upbeat but still had a sad look in his eye, he's keeping up this act for me. Dammit, why did I even talk to him about this? I'm not good at talking in the first place and now I've just caused him more trouble...
A cloaked man stumbled onto the beach. I didn't notice him as he was coming, which annoyed me very much when I did, I was caught off guard by this strange cloaked man that didn't seem to be very strong or useful. It certainly didn't help my mood when I heard him mutter "Am I still alive?", it's bad enough that I let something that could have been dangerous get soo close to Luffy but IT WAS (probably) AN OLD GEEZER WONDERING WHY ON EARTH HE IS STILL ALIVE?? I leapt onto this mysterious figure and held my katana at his throat. He sagged under my weight, by 'leapt onto him' I meant leaping onto his shoulders and sitting on him with my katana on his neck with the blade facing towards me.
My katana pushed the hood of the cloak back and it fell to my legs which were on his shoulders.

"USOPP!" Luffy exclaimed, cheerfulness back in his eyes. I'm guessing he isn't thinking about how much of a failure at being captain he was now. He ran towards us and stopped abruptively then threw his hands up.
"You're alive! Shishishi.........." he slowly stopped laughing then turned blue.
"What is it?" I asked, frowning.
"HE'S A GHOST!" Luffy pointed at Usopp. He then proceeded to run the whole length of the beach and back. I tripped him over before he could repeat the process.
"Look," I pinched on Usopp's face then slapped him repeatedly while protesting whimpers escaped Usopp. Imitating my actions, Luffy confirmed fo himself that Usopp was in fact, real and not a ghost.
