"We're close to the Grand Line," Sanji started, "There is a town close by where we can stock up before crossing the Grand Line, Loguetown."

"Nami, how are we doing on money matters?" I ask.

"Not great, but enough to get by for now."

"Usopp, how's Merry holding up?"

"Fixed up and ready to sail, full speed ahead!"

"Sanji, are food supplies and ingredients ok?"

"All ready and packed for heading out!"

"Aaaaaand.....Uh, yeah, that's it...Hi, Zoro...?"

Zoro grunts and looks away, annoyed with his lack of importance on the ship-other than fighting and defending the ship.

"Ok, meeting dismissed," I announced and headed back to my room with Luffy.

These meeting have become a weekly thing, behind Luffy's back, of course. Since he only dealt with the leading part of being the captain, I had to take care of technical difficulties on the ship and money related regulations. The crew didn't seem to mind the weekly check up and discussions but we left the important topics to be discussed with Luffy. The planning of the best option of a route was also part of what I had to organize, for the safety of the crew and the for the protection of our ship. I would also prefer to plan battle strategies so that Luffy doesn't always hurt himself more than necessary all the time when he recklessly charges into battle with a strong looking person.

I sighed.

I opened the door leading into my room and was met by Luffy chewing on a bit of orange peel then spitting it out, tasting its bitterness.

"Yo," I said, "ready to leave for our next destination?"

"Eh? Already?" Luffy whined.

"You know, the next stop is the Grand Line," I taunt.

Luffy's face lit up at the mention of his goal of reaching the Grand Line and finally properly starting his pirate journey.

"Get ready, we're leaving soon," I wave as I walk downstairs to find the crew buzzing around making necessary preparations for the journey.

I walked down to the beach and looked at Merry, in the distance, smiling as I thought about our eventful adventures that I would have never had if I chose not to journey with Luffy. After all, he was the one who has worked hard for this crew to come together, it was his bright, loud character that attracted the crew to him. Merry gently rocked in the gentle waves of the sea, as if it was nodding happily at me. I smiled back.

Once we set off, it was already night time, mainly due to Zoro getting lost on the straight path leading to the beach. I was on watch, come to think of it, today was really peaceful compared to the strenuous past few days. It was a perfectly still night, a splash of stars on the canvas of the midnight sky, a sublimely round moon cast its gentle glow on the ship, illuminating a silver path on the sea. Too serene, too tranquil... where my last thoughts before I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up, finding a letter balanced on my katana which lay beside me, it was still night so I probably did not sleep for long. The letter was from... Ace!
