"In a land of Gods and Monsters- I was an angel, living in the garden of evil," the phone's alarm begins to sing.

"Screwed up, scared, doing anything that I needed- shining like a fiery beacon," the song continues, but the young man in bed only pulls up the blanket to cover his head, not wanting to wake up yet.

"Five more minutes," he mumbles to himself still half asleep. The alarm turns off and the room goes back to being in complete silence.

"Blue jeans. White shirt. Walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn," his second alarms begins to sing. "It was like James Dean- for sure. You're so fresh to death and sick as ca-ca-cancer."

"Lana, why you no let me sleep?" The nineteen year old asks as he sits up and turns off the alarm.

He checks the time on his phone and it reads 5:45 AM. "It's so early," he complains as he sets his phone aside, gets out of bed, turns the lights on, and walks to look at the mirror hanging on a wall in his room.

"You wanted to work Jax," he says to himself as he fixes his hair. "No worries though. Soon you'll be done with college and hopefully you'll be able to wake up later in the day- probably not," he sighs and lazily drags his body towards the kitchen.

"Why can't I just be a famous YouTuber?" He groans as he slowly walks out of his bedroom and walks past his window ignoring what was hiding in the dark. He walks down the stairs, past the living room, past the dining room, and into the kitchen.

"Oh well. What should I make for breakfast since my parents are out the weekend?" Jax ponders. "I could make some pancakes with some scrambled eggs and bacon on the side. Nom nom nom! That sounds delicious, but who am I kidding? I'm too lazy to cook," Jax says as he chuckles to himself and grabs some cereal instead.

He walks into the dining room with his bowl of cereal in one hand and the spoon in the other and takes a seat. As he eats he looks out the window on his right side, directly next to the dining room table, and finds mist looming in darkness.

"It's still dark- I should be sleeping," he complains with cereal in his mouth. "I hope that mist clears up otherwise it's going to be hard to drive." He finishes his cereal and checks his phone for the time to see that it's 6:00 am.

"Time to go shower, I suppose," Jax says to himself. He lazily gets up from the chair, dumps the cereal bowl and spoon into a pile of dirty dishes waiting to be washed in the sink, and slowly makes his way up the stairs.

"If I was a YouTuber I could get up at whatever time I wanted," he thinks to himself on his way up to his bathroom on the second floor. "I would be getting up at like 12:00 pm everyday and wouldn't give a fuck about what anybody said because I'd be my own boss," he thinks as he gets into the shower.

As he showers he imagines what his life would be like if he were to be a famous YouTuber. "What up my fellow humans, it's Jax the Human," he imagines saying at the start of every video. He would be playing games like PewDiePie, but he would also be making short skits like oh so many YouTubers do and he would have many subscribers. His inside joke with his loyal fans would be that they are all actually aliens in disguise, but they add 'the human' to the end of their names to fool people into believing that they are just normal humans and are in no way plotting to invade planet Earth.

Daydreaming away, he pays no attention to the time, until he finally snaps back into reality remembering he's not famous and he has places to be on time or he could risk getting fired.

Jax runs out of the shower in the nude, having forgotten to grab a towel when he had also been daydreaming as he got into the bathroom initially. He quickly grabs a towel to cover himself up and looks out his window to make sure none of his neighbors were awake who could have potentially seen him in his birthday suit. Outside he sees the same thing he had seen earlier: a thick mist reigning over the darkness.
