The Strange Man

-Haru's POV-

We all walk out of Mrs. Kanami's office and walk towards the entrance of the school. I take my phone out and start to put my earbuds in.

"Hey." I look up and see a boy, I think his name is Haruti or something like that.

"Hey?"

"Your Haru, right? From class 1-A?"

"That's me. And you are? Sorry I'm not very good with memorizing names and stuff."

"I'm Haruto from class 1-C."

"Isn't the teacher for that class, supposedly, scary?"

"Mrs. Souch? She seemed pretty nice today, but some teachers like to look nice for like the first week of school.."

"You got that right." I said with a little laugh. Me and Haruto continued to talk while we walked. We had already passed the gate and started to walk to our houses.

"I'm guessing you live this way to?"

"Yeah. I live kinda close. Also, do you know the pink haired girls name?"

"Yeah her names Kanako, I think, she's in my class. I think she just moved here."

"Oh. That's why I've never seen her around before."

"Probably-" My phone started to ring and it was my older sister Rin. "Sorry Haruto, my sister will kill me if I dont answer her."

"Dont worry I understand." I answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Where are you right now!" Rin yelled loud enough for Haruto to hear.

"I'm walking home, why?"

"I think theres someone outside the house.."

"What!? I'm coming home right now! Haruto can you come with me?" I hung up the phone on Rin.

"Yeah sure!" We started to run and Haurto followed me as I took the turn down my street. I began to see my driveway and could see a car that I didn't recognize. I slowed down and Haruto did as well.

"Why'd you stop?" Haruto said in a whisper.

"This is my house.. I don't recognize this car."

"I can smell a scent coming from around the house." Haruto said and his fox ears pricked up.

"Let's both go around, you take that side I'll take the other." I went on the left side and Haruto went on the right. I could hear someone jiggling a lock it sounded like. They were trying to brake in from the back door.

I peeked around the corner and saw a hooded person.

"Hey!" The hooded person jumped and turned to look at me. I could see Haruto coming up behind them, his eyes were glowing blue?

"Who are you."

"I-i.." Their voice sounded like a man. Haruto had his hands by the person's head. I was stalling so he could take him down since he was using his powers? Haruto touched his head and the person collapsed. Haruto's eyes went back to normal and were back to normal blue.

"Call the police." I said to Haruto. He nodded. "I'm going to go get my sister, be right back."

I ran to the front of the house and unlocked the door in a panic. I ran up the stairs and called out her name.

"RIN!?!" I could hear my name being called to in the mist of tears.

"H-haru?.." I ran into her room and found her sitting in the corner crying with her legs up to her chest and her arms hugging her. I bent down to her.
