Your uncle arrived soon after your text, texting you to let you know that he had arrived. You grabbed your bag and quickly shuffled out of the house, locking the door behind you. You got into the car and sat down, sighing.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Ukai asked as you set your bag on the ground and put your seat belt on.
"Yes, yes, no need to worry." you smiled.
"So, what was the nightmare about?" he asked, not waiting to question you."Nothing important! Just freaked me out a bit is all." you said, not wanting to elaborate. He raised and eyebrow and shook his head.
"I'm not going to ridicule you for a nightmare." he said.
"That's not the problem." you said bluntly.
"Please tell me, I want to help you, you realize that right?" he asked.
"How are you going to help, get rid of them?" you asked coldly.
"Telling me might relieve some stress! You can't just keep it bottled up, it'll affect you badly!" he exclaimed, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. You just wanted him to stop talking, getting annoyed. "Please talk to me, I don't want what happened your first year to happen again.""It won't!" you said quickly.
"I just want to know so I can support you, ya know? Telling me will do more good than harm." he said softly, staring down the road. You snapped.
"It was about mom and dad." you blurted out, immediately slapping a hand over your mouth. He pulled into the parking lot in front of the gym, staying silent for a few seconds.
"Is this a reoccurring nightmare?" he asked curiously. You shuddered, the scene replaying in your head.
"Y-yeah." you whispered."I'm so sorry." he said, putting a hand on your shoulder. "Is it... what happened?"
You nodded, unbuckling. Your uncle was extremely sorry for you, he couldn't imagine the thought of seeing his parents death, but it was even worse that you kept seeing it over and over again."I should get going." you smiled, knowing if you kept talking about it you might cry. "I'll see you after practice!"
"Wait." he said. He leaned over and gave you a hug. "Don't be too hard on yourself, okay?"
"Don't worry! I'll be fine. I love you!" you said, getting out of the car and grabbing your bag.
"I love you, too." he said. You smiled and shut the door, waving at him as you walked away. You walked up to the door and peered inside, seeing the boys warming up and Takeda intently reading a book.
You slipped inside, trying not to draw any attention on yourself.
"Y/N!!" you heard before looking over to see Tanaka excitedly running over to you. He tackled you in a hug, you both falling to the ground. "I missed you!"
"I missed you, too, Tanaka." you chuckled."Tanaka! What did I say about boundaries?" Daichi yelled from across the gym. You stood up and brushed yourself off.
"Don't worry Daichi, it's okay!" you chuckled, walking over to the bleachers and setting your bag down."Why did you stay home today?" Sugawara asked, sneaking up behind you. You jumped, but turned around and smiled.
"Hey Suga!" you said, "Don't worry, Ukai just gave me a day off of sorts."
'Why doesn't he want you playing?" he asked curiously."He doesn't want me pushing myself too hard, I guess." You said, sitting down and watching the others. He sat down next to you and smiled.
"You can tell me the truth, don't worry! I won't tell the others, unless it's something life threatening, you know?" he asked, seeming genuinely worried. Daichi ran over to us, carrying a ball in one of his arms.
