Violet's POV

"See you later babe." I said before kissing Payton's cheek and running out the door not even waiting for his response. I quickly hurried down the sidewalk. The place where I was going to audition for my first role in a movie, wasn't too far from the house so I decided it would be better to walk since LA traffic is a real pain in the ass. I soon passed our local gym where Payton works out every afternoon with our personal trainor, Riley. I used to go but I got so busy with work that I could never make it on time. As I was rushing down the side walk reading through my script, I accidentally bumped into someone causing me to fall. I quickly got back up and dusted myself off.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry." I apologized, fixing my leggings

"Violet?" I heard a familiar voice ask. I looked up to see the one and only Anthony Reeves. Today must be my lucky day. (Note the sarcasm)

"Hey."I replied shyly. The last time we talked was three years ago when he dumped me in that hospital room. Although it was a shitty move, I never held it against him.

"What are you doing out here in LA?" Anthony asked scratching the back of his neck.

"I live here." I paused, "well not specifically right here but up the road a little." I mentally face palmed after that.

"Well um let me buy you a coffee." He implied with his signature smile, gesturing to the coffee shop beside us. I shook my head.

"No I have an audition I need to get to." I emphasized looking down at my watch seeing that I only had 20 minutes until my audition.

"How about afterwards." He suggested.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I stared down at the ground.

"Why not?" He asked tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, his hand still lingering beside my face. I couldn't help but feel every ounce of love again that I felt when we were together. I realized what was happening and stepped away from his grasp.

"Because I have a boyfriend." I stated firmly. I could see the smile fall from his face and it hurt me that I had hurt him, but he hurt me first and so much worse.

"Oh. Well still let me take you out for coffee as friends." I knotted my brows.

"Our friendship ended the moment you left town and didn't bother to call, in fact you changed your entire phone number." I scoffed. He hung his head.

"I know, I'm sorry about that. It was the worse decision I ever made." He apologized. I nodded.

"Sorry but I really have to get going now." I stated attempting to walk past him but was stopped at the sound of his voice.

"One more question," I spun back around to face him, "if you hate me so much, why are you wearing my brand?"

"First off, I don't hate you. I don't think I ever could. And second off, I didn't know this was your brand but I have to say I enjoy the clothing." I smiled before turning back around and walking towards the audition place.

Time Skip to 5pm

I unlocked the door to Payton and I's house, although the house is in my name. As I walked in I noticed a pair of unfamiliar shoes. I just shrugged it off seeming as I probably just didn't recognize them because I have so many pairs of shoes. I walked upstairs making absolutely no noise. Not that I was trying not to, it's just that our floors don't squeak and I don't walk heavy. I lightly sighed from the long day and opened the bedroom door. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Oh my god!" I yelled covering my eyes. I heard them rustle away from each other. I uncovered my eyes to see Riley sliding her shirt back on.

"Um I think I should go." Riley muttered.

"Yea I think you should." I scoffed. She quickly glided out of the room. I stood there in silence until I heard the front door shut.

"How could you?" Payton just looked away.

"After everything I went through with Josh and Anthony. After three years of dating. Why cheat? Why couldn't you just tell me that you don't love me anymore?" I asked softly. He got up off the bed and walked towards me. He was only in sweatpants. He went to touch my face but I flinched away.

"I still do love you. It was just an in the moment thing. I swear." He pleaded. I shook my head.

"Get out." I muttered.

"What?" I looked up to meet his eyes, tears brimmed and threatened to fall.

"Get out. I'll have your stuff dropped off wherever you're staying." I stated firmly. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. He nodded his head and grabbed a shirt, slid on some slides, and grabbed his wallet before leaving. I stood in the room  for a while after Payton left and cried my eyes out. Until, I heard the door bell ring. I quickly wiped my tear stained face and patted my puffy red eyes before going downstairs and opening the door. There sat three large boxes with brand name: BARK, stacked with a sticky note on the top box. I carried the boxes in and shut the door before reading the note.

Let me make up for the past three years of lost friendship. -Ant (xxx-xxx-xxxx)

I let out a heavy shaky breath before grabbing my phone and typing in the number. Of course I could've called Charli or Chase but something just told me to call him. Maybe it was me missing my old best friend who I dreadfully gave a half-assed tour of our school to, or maybe it was me missing my hero that I loved with all my heart at one point in time.

"Hello?"

I felt a lot of emotional pain writing the chapter. It just hurt a little too much. Anyways next chapter is going to be the finale chapter. And there won't be a sequel. As Hannah says from 13 reasons why, "No return engagements, no encore, and this time, absolutely no requests." I hope you somewhat enjoyed today's chapter. Just remember I love each and every one of you. See you next chapter loves.
