II. At The Dark Side

Austin's Side

Today is Saturday and I woke up too early. Luckily, I can get up in anytime I wanted but I wasted my chance to have a long sleep and rest because of this freaking alarm clock! This clock is getting into my nerves! It's 8:00 am and the Sun is shining like its 12:00 noon. That's why I can feel the heat in my room. I can also feel the sweat running at my back but I'm still fresh even I'm not yet taking a bath.

I immediately open my room's curtain and get outside of it to watch the blue sky and the sunshine. I can also see the birds flying and tweeting like they're twitty bird. Do I spell it correctly? Nah, nevermind. I'm too busy to think of those unecessary and useless things.

After watching and thinking, I get down stairs to have my breakfast because I felt hungry. I'm craving for some bacon ang fish fillet. So, I call manang to prepare for it.

"Manang!" I called.

"Yes, sir?" he immediately answered carrying a trash bag.

"Kindly prepare breakfast for me and also for my brothers after throwing those garbage?" I asked.

"Sige, sir. Ano po bang gusto niyo?" manang asked.

"Uhmmm, just prepare bacon, fried rice and fish fillet for me. And for my brothers, just ask them." I said and let manang throw the trashes.

I also called my two brothers to eat breakfast at sabi lang nila na susunod lang sila. Kaya, hinayaan ko nalang sila. I have two brothers. One is Andrie, 14 years old. While the other one is Anthony, 6 years old and I'm the eldest, the hottest among all of us. -,-

Nang matapos si manang sa paghahanda ay saktong bumaba na rin sina Andrie at Anthony while rubbing their eyes. Hindi pa siguro masyadong gising ang mga diwa nila.

"Good morning, kuya." mahinang bati sakin ni Anthony at Andrie. Ngunit nginitian ko nalang silang dalawa. Tinatamad na rin akong magreply. Tss. Nasanay naman rin sila.

"Ready na po ang breakfast, sir. Kain na po kayo." nakangiting wika ni manang Juliet.

"Sige po, manang." tugon nila ni Andrie at Anthony, tony for short habang nakangiti. Hindi na ako tumugon kasi wala akong gana at snob ako.

Nagmamadali at akmang kakain na ako pero bigla nila akong pinigilan.

"Why?" ismid ko.

"Don't forget to pray, kuya." tugon ni Andrie habang pikit.

"Right, kuya." singit naman ni Tony. Edi waw.

"Tss." tanging tugon ko at ginaya na rin sila. Si Andrie ang naglead ng prayer pero ako walang pakialam.

Nang matapos kami sa pag-pray ay nagsimula na kaming kumain. As I said earlier, manang prepared bacon, fried rice and fish fillet for me. While for my brothers, salad, scrumbled egg and something vegetable. Yuck.

"Andrie..." I called.

"Yes, kuya?" he answered.
