The girl had sneaked back through the window after visiting Fangs in the Sheriff's Station, and Sweet Pea and Toni had placed the ladders slyly back where they had found them. It had taken a little while, but Aria turned her room back to the way it was, and by dinner that evening, she had been on her bed with her chemistry book and her binder on the blankets, scribbling down answers when her mother unlocked the door. The window key had been hidden where it had been before, and Aria had placed the bedside over the patch of carpet.
And by the next morning, Aria had already finalized her plans to raid her mother's bedroom, not to mention she had already told her mother she was sick that morning. However, by the time her mother could've allowed her the day off school, Reggie had arrived at the front door of the Queens household, per Adelaide Queens' request. However, Aria had to pretend she had no theories about Reggie and her mother, so she greeted Reggie with the the most fake yet seemingly genuine smile she could muster.
"I'll have her home before the debate, Mrs. Queens." Reggie informed, his arm around Aria's waist as he did so. Aria wanted to scream and push him away in disgust, however she had to make this plan work. And to do that, everything had to be normal, right? The boy led her to the car, opening the door for her before getting him on his side. "Now, we need to have a vital discussion, you and me."
Aria raised her eyebrows, fastening her seat-belt before looking towards her boyfriend with a coy expression. "Do we?" The girl questioned innocently, resting her head in her palm with a sweet, false smile – something she'd been doing quite often. "About what, Reggie?"
Reggie gave a hearty chuckle. "Why are you so in with those Serpent scum? I'm worried about you, Aria, I don't want you getting hurt." Reggie spoke, and Aria resisted the nagging urge to roll her eyes. Lies, she thought. More like my mother is. "One of them is a killer, Aria, and what if something happened? What if he wanted you dead, along with Midge?"
Aria looked towards her boyfriend, whose hand was resting on her thigh. "Reggie, this is going to sound crazy, but I can feel it in my bones. I know Fangs is innocent. And even if you were right and he did kill Midge, which I highly doubt, he would never hurt me."
Reggie squeezed her thigh slightly. "And what if you're wrong and he did hurt you? I mean, he like, liked Midge, Aria, and he still killed her. Who's to say he won't kill his Northsider friend? I love you, I don't want you to be murdered."
Liar. Aria thought, over and over again. However, she needed to act like she had no idea of what could be going on, and she smiled slightly, before leaning over and pressing a kiss on his lips. He smirked into the kiss slightly, kissing back roughly before pulling her on his lap, his hands on her thighs as he did. Their lips moved in sync, as Aria stripped off his varsity jacket and he took off her coat, a hand roaming her body as an old AC/DC tune played in the background on the stereo of his car.
The duo pulled apart for air, and he smirked towards him. "I love the fact that you live on Lover's Lane." He stated, before pulling her closer and kissing her deeply, brushing hair out of her face as he did so. However, Aria's phone began to buzz from the passenger seat, as Reggie's lips moved to her neck. "Don't answer." He told her, his voice muffled as his lips moved against her neck. "It's probably those Southsiders."
