I start to wonder about what tomorrow might bring. Sitting under the sugarplum tree, wishing that I had the perfect hair, perfect eyes. Everything has to be perfect. But sadly, that isn't the case. My name is Marley and I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. I was told that I only had 5 years to live. I was devastated, and I wanted all the things in life that I didn't have.
A few months after I was diagnosed, My mum thought I had depression. So she took me in and not only do I have cancer, but depression as well.
There's this guy at school I like but as always he doesn't notice me. I tried talking to him but I was too shy. I tried not to talk about him in front of my friend. Yeah, I only have one friend. Her name is Brooklyn. Yeah, sounds pretty unfair. I know how it feels. But I just dream of him and I happily married.
"Are you coming?" Brooklyn nudges me.
"Yes, we'll sort of." I giggle.
"Look! Here's this special guy you like." She says sarcastically. "Heyyyy Todd!" as she flips her hair up making me feel weird. "Oh...This is my friend Marely. Say Hi!" She nudges me.
"Uh, um..." I struggle. Brooklyn clears her throat as I watch her foot tap impatiently.
"Can you hurry up?" she whispers to me...
"Uh, well I'm gonna go. Ugh, b-bye!" He waves and walks towards his friends.
"I wish I could talk to him." I mutter. *Bell rings* I start to walk to class.
