003 (Stranger Things Season 3 OC Insert)

Chapter Three: The Sauna

Mike, Lucas, Will, and Bruce were seen in Mike's and Bruce's basement where they trying to contact Max and Eleven for the last ten minutes. Lucas repeated the phrase he's been saying the entire time

"Do you copy? This is a code red."

A second went by with nothing coming through

"I repeat, this is a code red. Max. Do you copy"

Bruce shook his head "They're not gonna take this wake up call lightly"

As if on cue Max spoke over the radio "Shut. Up."

The static went away, signaling it was off. Lucas looked to Will with a shocked expression

"She turned it off"

Bruce let out an annoyed sigh "If what you said was true last night then we can't waste time"

He went over to the phone that was nearby and called Max, he knew it would annoy them but maybe a change of voice would convince them. It rang for a second before she picked up

"I'm sleeping. Go away."

Just as she reached down to hang up Bruce spoke

"Maxine, get your ass over here along with Eleven. We have a problem."

Her tone changed from one of annoyance to one of concern "Is it that serious?"

"...Get over here"

Bruce hung up and let out a sigh before looking at the group of boys 

"She's coming, in the meantime try to get to Dustin"

Lucas tried to get out of it "He's not answering"

Bruce looked him in the eyes "Try him again, we don't have time to dawdle."

Lucas sighed before speaking into the radio again "Dustin, do you copy? I repeat, this is a code red"

Fifteen minutes later everyone was sitting on the floor around Will who was perched higher

"I didn't think it was anything at first. I mean, I think I just didn't want to believe it... The first day I felt it was at Day Of The Dead."

Mike put a piece together "Power went out that night, too"

"And then I felt it again at the field near Nelson farm the next day. Then again yesterday outside Castle Byers."

Bruce nodded his head "Those match up with mine"

Everyone's interest shifted from Will to Bruce as Lucas spoke, "What do you mean?"

The boy let out a sigh "At Day Of The Dead I had the feeling that made me on edge, Eleven remembers it. The nerves in my forearm pulse red every time, the worst happened when I had to leave with Eleven"

Mike looked confused "That worst? What made it so bad?"

"The feeling came back, but my head started pounding like someone was knocking on it. When we got to the bottom I sat down, suddenly my vision changed to this...beast forming out of a lot of dust, then to the same beast fighting. I heard so many voices, all distorted."

Eleven knew what he was talking about "Your eyes... they flashed like a flame before the symptoms left like they were never there"

Everyone seemed intrigued by the two while Max had questions "Why would you have those feelings? I understand why will would have them but not you."

Bruce made an 'ah' sound "You've never seen Diable have you?"

Lucas spoke from the other side "Diable?"
