Blood Tests

Danny woke up feeling as refreshes as he always did. The sun was slowly rising to the sky so that meant he needed to get up. He did was he always did every morning when he got out of bed. He would change out of his clothes and into more appropriate work out attire. He would then do 50 push ups, 50 sits ups, and go for a 30 minutes jog around the block. He found a park nearby which he would use to do 20 pull ups, 30 squats, and another set of 50 push ups.

He would then go to a local bakery he found by accident. He would go inside and greet the owners, a nice elderly couple, before ordering fresh bread. While he waited for his order, his mind flashed back to Y/N. Yesterday's trying session seemed a bit more tense than usual. Once he gave his report to Natasha regarding this Carnage person, he completely dipped to his room.

Danny began to wonder what his mindset was. So much was happening in such a short amount of time. Maybe he would ask him to go for a jog with him in the afternoon just to get some fresh, safe, air. Danny got his bread, and headed back to the tower. He would then prepare the bread alongside a healthy breakfast and eat in the comforting silence. Normally he would be half way done with his breakfast by the time everyone began to wake up.

He would greet his friends as they entered and offer them the bread. He would chat with Laura regarding work out regiments or talk to Miles about new music. He was trying to broaden his horizons. By the time everyone has entered the main room, Danny would be done with his food and ready for training. It took him a moment before he realized that someone was missing.

He asked Miles if he had seen Y/N, the two of them seemed close, but the boy didn't know. Danny then checked with Kitty. Normally he would go to Viv but he didn't want her to feel even more uncomfortable. Neither Viv nor Y/N knew that everyone knew what happened. Sam also didn't know where Y/N was. Gwen offered to go check on him but came back and reported that he wasn't in his room.

Y/N had made it a habit of sneaking out and doing things that were never approved of. First the A.I.M. base, then Carnage, and now God knows what. Danny was sure that he wasn't at Felicia's since he had mentioned that she was busy today. Natasha walked in and asked the question they were all wondering.

Where is Y/N?

Natasha opened up her device and noticed that someone was using the simulation. There he was. Danny got up and offered to go check on him as well as Gwen. Natasha agreed and the three of them headed to the simulator. When they got the booth they found Y/N fighting off the holograms with his claws. He was shirtless and sweaty. This wouldn't be a cause of concern but Natasha pointed something out. The simulation had been running for the past 6 hours. It had reached max difficulty yet Y/N looked fine. The simulation would shut down if he got too injured anyway.

Gwen: Wow. How is he not tired?

Danny: Maybe he isn't using his powers as much.

Natasha looked around the simulation before she made a discovery.

Natasha: He isn't using his powers at all. There's no burn marks and the temperature is still normal. He seemes to be only using his claws and strength.

The three watched the young man slice through the enemies like it was nothing. When there were none left, the simulation asked if he wanted to continue. He said yes. More enemies appeared and Y/N jumped right back into it. Danny watched the way the boy moved. He was fast, clean, focused. He wasn't training to keep his mind off of things. He was training to get stronger. Natasha turned the simulator off which seemed to confuse the boy who was covered in sweet. He looked around frantically before he spotted the three of them.
