You and Doreen ended uo on the rooftops of New York as you made your way to Joyce's. You had to be careful since someone might be on patrol so it was risky. A bit too risky. It wasn't even the Heroes you had to be worried about. It was literally anyone seeing you and taking a picture. One social media post and you were done for.
Doreen: This is so cool! I've never done this before!
Y/N: Me neither. Well, kinda. I've snuck out before but it wasn't because there was a curfew or anything.
Doreen: So you're kinda an expert then!
You shrugghed.
Y/N: Sure.
You landed on a watertower and looked around. You grabbed her and hid behind the tower as a news copper flew by. You both peeked out and let out a sigh.
Y/N: That was close.
Doreen: Y-Yeah. C-Can you m-move mmmm y-your hand?
You looked down and noticed you were holding her tail. You quickly let go and apologized.
Y/N: Sorry.
Doreen: It's fine. Just keep your hands to yourself.
You raised both in defense.
Y/N: I'll do my best.
You both peeked out and contiued your journey. You heard a car alarm go off and you stopped in your tracks. You and Doreen looked down onto the street and found a man trying to break into a car.
Y/N: Damnit. At least it's open 24/7.
You and Doreen jumped down and approved the man. You cleared your throat causing the man to turn around. You noticed that he had oddly green eyes.
Doreen: Stealing cars is not ok.
The man turned and tried to run but Doreen whistled and sent her squirrels to trip him. As he hit the pavement, you froze him to the floor. You both approached him but you noticed his eyes were now brown. That was weird.
Doreen: Well now that this is taken care of, we can continue on.
She feed Money Joe and Tippy-Toe some nuts before pulling out a sticky note. She wrote something down and the two of you took to the roofs again. You decided to not fly since your flames drew too much attention so you took to some good old fashioned parkour.
You leaped over a vent and hopped on a railing before using your strength to leap across the street to the next building. You and Doreen stopped in your tracks to the sound of shattering glass. You both looked down and saw that a jewelry store was being robbed.
Y/N: What the hell?
Doreen: Another crime? I think it starting to understand why they call this place the City That Never Sleeps.
You both jumped down just as Boomerang stepped out. This guy again?
Y/N: Didn't I send you to the RAFT? I think you're breaking your parole.
Boomerang didn't say anything. He just grabbed his boomerang and threw it at both of you. You phased through it and Doreen caught it. Boomerang charged at you but you just kicked him hard enough to break part of his mask. You looked and saw that his eyes were the same green as the guy before.
Y/N: This is beyond weird.
Doreen: Tell me about it. What guy uses boomerangs to commit crimes?
Y/N: Not that. Both guys had these weird glowing green eyes.
Doreen bent down and opened Boomerang's eyelid to see that he now had blue eyes. She stood back up.
Doreen: Hm. Do think they're related?
