[warning: cursing ahead.]

Rune laughed, unable to take it as he looked at King's pouting expression. "Sorry," he choked out, wiping his tears. "I didn't think you'd get this scared."

"It's not funny, P'Rune. Who in the world would jump at someone while they come out of the bathroom?"

"Ow," Rune cackled once more, "I do it all the time, but I've never seen anyone get as scared as you."

He chuckled and swung his arm around King's shoulder when he didn't reply. "Come on, don't be mad. Let's continue watching the movie, okay?"

King turned to look at him, their faces close enough till their noses touched and they could feel each other's breath. Coughing, Rune moved away, and rubbed the nape of his neck.

"I... It's getting late. We should be getting some sleep," King said. "You can have the bed."

Despite not feeling sleeping, he watched as Long hurried to turn off the television and set up his sleeping arrangements on the couch.

"Hello?" Rune answered. There was crying on the other side and he sighed, sitting upwards onto the bed. "What is it, Cherry?"

"Don't you love me anymore?" She asked.

He sighed. "Cherry, ever since we started dating, there was not a single day when I didn't love you. But over and over you chose to accuse me of cheating despite saying you trust me."

"So are we over? Officially over?"

"I...it's best if we give each other space for now."

There was silence on the other side before she started to cry heavily once more. Rune sighed, raking his hand through his hair. He felt his eyes sting a little as he clenched his jaw. It was true he didn't love her the same, but it didn't mean it hurt any less to go down such a route.

"You have feelings for another person, don't you?" Came another accusation. "Don't lie to me. I wouldn't be so jealous had you kept yourself loyal to me."

Rune felt his jaw drop. "Who?" He spat. "Who exactly do you think I have feelings for? Because as far as I'm concerned, you've been like this since we first began to date."

"It could be anyone considering how you are. I bet you've been sleeping-"

"Fuck it," Rune swore. "It's a good thing we're breaking it off."

He cut off the call, tossing the phone to the side and ignoring the ringing. He buried his face into his hand, choking back a cry. Why did he always fall for the wrong people? God, no wonder his grandmother was so skeptical of his choices.

King walked over to the room, gently knocking to see if Rune was settled in comfortably. He frowned when he didn't get a reply. He slowly opened the door, peeking in to check if the senior was asleep.

His eyes widened in surprise when he saw Rune crying silently. He walked in, gently closing the door and reaching out to graze his fingers along Rune's hair. His actions caused the crying boy to look up.

Despite not knowing why he was crying, King sat down on the bed, and pulled Rune into a hug as the latter had done so for him earlier.

Rune let out a low groan once he opened his eyes, being hit by the sunlight in the process. He felt a weight on his stomach, and looking down, he realized it was an arm. He froze, slightly shifting his gaze to his side to be met with the sleeping face of King.
