The warm sun crept through every gap in the blinds as the birds let out a tuneful melody.
HueningKai sat up with a start, still half asleep, trying to recall the events from the night before. He was sat on a mattress in the corner of a room, his bag by his side and his coat hung up neatly on a peg beside the door.
"Morning sleepyhead," greeted a chirpy Soobin as he carried a tray to Kai's bedside,
"I didn't know what you liked so I got what i could."
Kai smiles warmly at Soobin. No one had made this effort for him. Ever.
Soobin sat on the end of the bed whilst Kai ate.
"So do you need me to drop you off at school on Monday?" Asked Soobin as Kai finished eating.
"Ah, I go to Imsil High School, I don't know how far it is from here." He replied sheepishly.
"It's a 30 minute bus ride to the other side of town." Stated Soobin, "it's not that far."
Kai smiled as he moved to stand up.
"Thank you for letting me stay here." Bowed Kai respectfully as he reached for his bag.
Soobin smiles at the boy,
"Stay as long as you need to, I like the company."
Kai looked up at Soobin.
"Soobin?" He asked.
"Mm." Soobin replied absentmindedly.
"Can you help me with my maths homework?"
Soobin stood up and smiled at Kai.
"Of course!"
