Chapter 10

The ice cold bars kept Beomgyu enclosed in this metal cage.
All he could do was sit and wait.
Tick, tock, tick, tock.

The clock on the wall glared at Beomgyu as the hours dragged on and on.
He did all he could to pass the time, to take his mind off the inevitable problem of where he was going to go after his release, as he couldn't bear to tax him mind with such complex issues.
All Beomgyu wanted to do was drift away.

He could picture it clearly, the typical green grassed, tranquil countryside paradise that floated into everyone's minds at one point or another. But his picture was different; the image was engulfed with an attractive darkness. The moon hung in the sky with a milky glow and the stars scattered in the sky with an ethereal light, bringing light to his dark escape from reality...

The door swung open, and the guard silently cuffed Beomgyu and led him to the front desk.
Phone, keys, wallet and bag; all given back to Beomgyu as he signed his release notice.

"You have been let off with a warning." Stated the guard as he signed the notice.
"One more arrest and you will be charged."
Beomgyu nodded as he turned to leave.
He looked at the miserable grey sky as he stepped outside the station.
He couldn't stay here, forever being chased for his crimes. He had to get away.
He had to find his happy place.
