Chapter 12: Collaboration

POV: Miggy 

[Inside the Bar]

"Bro! What's up?" 

"Bro! Long time no see!"

Ang saya ng salubong sa 'kin ng mga kabanda ko.

"Hey! What's up guys?" Bati ko naman sa kanila. 

"Hey hey, Migs. Guess what...." Tony says. 

"What?" I feel so excited. Parang may kakaiba sa kanila ngayon. Parang sobrang bibo nila. "Ano nga 'yon?" Pangungulit ko pa. 

"You can't believe this.." 

"What? I said what? Ano ba guys? Kelangan ba talagang bitinin nyo ako?" Sobrang na te-tense ako sa kanila.  

"Ako na Tony. Bullshit ka naman eh. Mashado mong pinapasabik si Migs. HAHAHA" Drew says. 

"Ano na nga 'yon? Ginu-good time nyo ba ako?" 

"Eto na pare. Kilala mo si Oliver, Yung na-meet natin nung Battle Of the Bands? Guitarist sya ng The Tamawos, yung nanalo nung 2013 battle." 

"Oo. Tanda ko, O e ano naman ngayon?" 

"Dude! Diba nasa Indie Rock Philippines sila?" 

"OO ALAM KO. ANO BA DUDE?? Question and answer portion ba 'to? Nasa pageant lang?" I say madly, very mad. 

"Dude, dude. Just calm down. [Laughs] They will help us to become a part of Indie Rock Philippines, and their manager, Mr. Edward Fuentes will handle us! Dude ! [taps my back hundred times]" Drew says excitedly.

I was just...astonished. I'm just standing here with eyes and mouth wide open. I can't imagine that we, my band will become a part of Indie Rock Philippines, the biggest independent record label company in the Philippines for independent rock and metal bands. They are also managing Indie Rock Music events.

"WHATTTT? SERIOUSLY?" I shout. 

"Yes bro! We're going to have a manager, finally." Tony says. 

"And we're going to have an album!" Peter says. 

"And a lot of gigs." Drew says. 

"And our own big concert in the big dome!" Matt says. 

*Silence* we're all look to Matt. 

"HUH?" sabay sabay naming bigkas nina Tony, Peter at Drew. 

"A-ah? Soon." [smiles] Drew continuous.

POV: Jessica 

[Jessica's house]

Nandito sa bahay ang mga kabanda ko. Konting jamming lang. Dito kasi ang tambayan namin sa bahay minsan, kasi nga ako lang mag isa dito, para may kasama na rin ako paminsan minsan.

"Bro, kamusta na pala yung JA-Blue? Nakausap mo na?" Ariel asks Oliver. 

"Yep. Kahapon." Oliver answers. 

"Tinatanong na kasi ni manager Ed kung okay na raw sila." Ariel says.

Naabutan kong nag uusap sina Oliver at Ariel, galing akong kitchen kasama si Carlos at naghanda ng miryenda.

I put down the pizza. "Hoy ano yun? Parang narinig ko ang pangalan ni manager Ed at ang JA-Blue?" I ask them. 

Oliver puts down the guitar and takes a slice of pizza. "Ay yun? Si manager Ed kasi gustong kunin ang JA-Blue. Diba they won in this year's battle?"
