no more school meaning i can update every few days! 😋
"Hi eomma, Hi appa." I greeted.
They were pretty young, they can't be older than early 40's and they were very well put together. I definitely looked more like my mother but I had my fathers nose. The resemblance to them is truly uncanny.
I stepped aside and allowed them to make themselves comfortable. They were dressed very proper and not a single aspect of their appearance was out of place. They were just so different from me. I dressed in pastels and dyed my hair, they wore fancy clothing and were very proper. There was no way these people are really my parents.
"So, Jimin, where is your room mate?" My eomma asked.
I pointed to the kitchen, "He's preparing a veggie tray, he insisted."
My appa nodded, "Where's your girlfriend?"
I tensed, "W-Well...I don't have one....?"
"And why not? Jimin we expected more from you." Eomma scolded.
I sighed, "I just don't have the time with the cafe, it takes up most of my time."
Appa shook his head, "We want grandkids soon, Jimin."
I nodded, "I know...I just don't have the time right now.."
I knew this was going to happen, I just knew it. I knew they were already going to start scolding me and being disappointed in me the minute I opened up. I knew as their only child I had to pretty much give them whatever they wanted, but I was gay. How am I going to give them biological grandkids or give them a daughter-in-law when I'm dating a guy?
Namjoon walked in with a veggie tray and set it on the coffee table. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt and his tattoos were covered with makeup. He bowed to my parents and took a seat next to me. My parents eyed him up and down as he sat there just smiling at them. It was almost like a switch just went off in Namjoon's head to not be a total dick. Well, he isn't a total dick, but you get the idea.
I could tell my parents disapprove of him already just by the way they're eyeing him. I figited uncomfortably as they just stared us down. Why did they have to be like this? Why couldn't they just be normal parents and why did they have to be so strict? I truly didn't understand.
"So...this is your room mate?" My mother asked, pointing to Namjoon.
He just nodded, "My name is Kim Namjoon, pleasure to meet the both of you."
My father grunted, "What do you do for a living?"
Namjoon just grinned, "Actually I work at a tattoo shop, but only as the front desk guy. Needles make me queasy."
I mentally gave a sigh of relief. Namjoon was good at talking to people, too good at talking to people. He's such a good liar and it's like he's done this before. Did he live some sort of double life I didn't know about? Right now, this pleasant and perfect act he's putting on is way too good. This isn't my boyfriend, definitely not my boyfriend.
My boyfriend would have broken something, said a smart remark, or totally make a fool of himself by now. Though, my parents kind of seemed to be buying it as they haven't completely looked at him in total disgust yet. I only give it until Namjoon's parents show up before they realize that he isn't who he says he is.
I wouldn't be so worried about it if my parents weren't so conservitive and judgemental. I had a list of "rules" I had to "follow" when it came to dating. Did I follow those rules at all? Obviously I didn't. Was I gonna tell them that? Absolutely not, not unless they somehow figure it out. I had to borrow Yoongi's clothes because if my parents saw me in pastels my cover would be blown.
