I'm Your Friend

My head was throbbing. I hadn't even opened my eyes yet but I knew what had happened. I passed out in math class, god thats so embarrassing. I'm probably sitting in the nurse's office right now while everyone is having a good laugh about how I fell flat on my big, fat ass. I can only imagine what people are saying right now.

"She's only doing it for attention."

"I hope she kills herself."

"At least she's not fat anymore"

I disagree with the last one, I'm still fat. Yeah, i weight ninety pounds but my BMI is only 17.5 and thats so close to being average i can't stand it. Maybe I should try to get up or at least open my eyes so they know that I'm not completely dead. I open my eyes a little bit but i assume I'm hallucinating. I blink a few times fully taking in my natural surroundings.

"This sure isn't the nurse's office." My voice sounded so weak I almost didn't recognize it.

"No it's not, Alice." I hear a feminine voice pipe up behind me. I try to stand and back away but I just stumble and fall onto what seems like a forest floor.

"Wh-who are you? Where am I? What am i doing her-"

"-Enough questions for God's sake child, I will explain everything just sit down and keep that pretty little mouth of yours shut." I did exactly as this mysterious woman had told me. I didn't know her but she seemed to be the only ones with any answers for me. She was also very beautiful but her clothes didn't do much for that. They were all baggy and a dull grey. On a second thought maybe she was just average looking with nice cheek bones. The closer I looked her the more i realized she actually wasn't beautiful, she was just very skinny. He hair was stringy and had split ends, it looked broken and choppy. He fingers were really long almost skeletal like, in fact her entire body was long and skeletal. "Okay Miss Alice, to answer your first question my name is Ana and I am the mayor of a little town called Osseous. It is just off the path that leads through these woods." I looked back at the forest next to me, it looked bright it was practically calling me to skip down the little path and go adventuring. "To answer you second question you are in the lovely city of Malady. I'm sure you've heard all about it though so I won't go into the grim details.

"I don't understand. I passed out in math. Didn't i?

" Well yes you did. However, you've been chosen for a little help." A threatening smile crept upon her face.

"H-help with what?" I backed even further away from this skeletal woman.

" With being skinny my dear. What else would we help you with here? That is my specialty of course."

"We? Are there others?"

"Well yes. Imagine this like a fat camp, we help you exercise and count calories and lose as much weight as possible and soon you could look exactly like me. Wouldn't that be amazing? I know thats been your dream for a long time now, hasn't it Alice?" She was right. I had wanted to be skinny for as long as I can remember. All my friends (would you call them friends or would you call them people I choose to sit by because making new friends is too stressful?) say that i need to lose a few pounds, my step dad says I eat too much and my boyfriend well my boyfriend wants me to just waste away so he can get rid of me. She's one hundred percent correct, i want to be exactly like her.

"Okay. Please help me be skinny, Ms. Anna" I take a few steps forward to join her but something keeps pulling me slightly back.

"Please just call me Anna, I'm your friend."
