kassie
after Logan disappeared into the forest and i made my way into the house. my grandma had left so it made me wonder about the time. walking up the stairs i caught a glimpse of the grandfather clock 6:00. me and Logan had been walking together for hours i smiled just thinking abut it.
i would have to get ready for the party soon, Alex would just flip if i was late. i was half way to my room when a growling sound stopped me in my tracks. then i turned around and headed for the kitchen, realizing the last time i ate was this morning. i pured myself a bowl of the stew my grandma Had made earlier and headed back up to my room.
the door to my room was closed so it was a shock to see my window open once i walked in. the wind was softly blowing in making my black curtains look like they were dancing. my poems on the other hand had been scattered and were everywhere. my grandma must have opened it.
"crap " i mumbled to myself as i began to pick the poems back up.
placing the a few back on the desk i noticed that one poem had remain perfectly still in the centre of my desk. looking at it though, it didn't looked like one of mine at all. the paper looked old and warn and the ink was a deep shade of red, it read.
you can not hide yourself from me, i shall follow where you go. you may not know me now ,though soon you will, running from me will cause your death. but once you remember death will follow you closely, i wait to be uncovered. i am what must be discovered .
my mind raced as i tried to process what i was seeing. i didn't write this which meant someone had climbed through my window and placed it here. SOME ONE WAS IN MY HOUSE?!?!?! trying to calm down i took several deep breaths as i paced back and fourth.
this was obviously someones idea of a sick joke. i took the paper and threw it in my garbage, then closed my window and this time locked it. my cell phone began to ring breaking my inner panicked thoughts.
"hello" i answered
"have you stared getting ready yet?" Alex asked
"no not yet."
"i thought so, ok well started, be at my house in 30 minutes."
"ha yea right try an hour."
" fine just hurry." then she hung up the phone.
and on that note i started for my closet. i picked out my cute purple blouse and blue skinny jeans with my black boots and my little black star neclkless with my sliver hoops. after i had my outfit picked out i jumped in the shower. after i got out i quickly blow dried my hair and put on a bit of eyeliner making my hazel eyes pop. once i was fully dressed and ready to go i ran out the door and headed to Alex's house.
Alex didn't live to far from me she was just a street or two over so the walk was quick and easy. there was a full moon out ,it was so beautiful in the night sky, the streets were quiet and there was barley any cars driving along the road. as i was walking i saw something move from the corner of my eye. i looked over only to see an old man watching me, more then a little freaked i started to walk faster. once i got there she pulled me into the house.
"so?"
"so?" i repeated
"how do i look?"
she was wearing a blue tank top with a sliver owl hanging around her neck, she had plain jeans on and high tops, she had her hair straight (it was so short that's all she could do with it) and sliver hoops in.
" you look good" i commented
"you look totally hot to."
"ok if you two children are done i would like to get going." i turned around to see her cousin Kimmy standing at the top of the stairs. kimmy was in her twenties so she was giving us a ride.
