Ringing the doorbell, I waited for a few long seconds before the door swung open.

My eyes fell straight to the toned and naked chest of Sebastian as he stood in front of me with a surprised look on his face. He held his phone to one ear since he must have been on a call.

"Hi." I mouthed the word.

He gestured for me to come inside and I was hyper aware of his naked chest as it brushed my arm when he went to close the door behind me.

"Yeah, yeah I get it. I'll talk to Dad. I'll call you later okay? I gotta go." He hung up the phone and smiled at me.

"Hey."

I found myself standing there awkwardly for a few seconds before he led me into the kitchen.

"You hungry?"

"No, I'm good."

I made myself comfortable on the couch after he had grabbed himself a glass of water and walked into the next room. I snuck a glance at him again, trying desperately not to stare at the defined outline of a six pack. His long, tanned torso was stretched out as he leant back into the cushions. His legs rested on the coffee table in front of him and his dark hair lay flat on his head.

"Party wasn't that good?" He asked, taking a sip.

I shrugged. "There were a lot of people and I guess I wasn't in the mood two weekends in a row."

"So, how'd you like your first hockey experience?" He turned on the television which was on a low volume and flicked through the channels.

"It was good."

"Just good?" I had taken a seat on the same couch as him but on the far side. Now, I was regretting not sitting closer to him. Was it awkward that I was so far? Or would it be even more awkward if I moved closer now?

There was something about Sebastian's calm and eased presence that made me want to relax further. I tucked my feet underneath me before continuing.

"It was fun. I mean, I still didn't know what was happening half the time or where the puck was, but I cheered for the right team." I said with a smile.

Sebastian returned his own tilted smile. "And the captain I would hope."

"Obviously." I rolled my eyes playfully. "I saw you take a hard hit near the end. Are you okay?"

At the mention, Sebastian's arm lifted up slightly as he looked down at his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm used to it."

We both fell into a comfortable silence then as I watched him flip through the channels. "Ooo, wait go back!"

Sebastian flipped back and snorted.

"You like Criminal Minds?"

"No, I love Criminal Minds." Leaning back into the soft cushion material, my attention was quickly drawn to the furrowed facial expressions of Shemar Moore.

"I don't really know if it's that realistic though." Sebastian's voice was quiet as he watched.

"It doesn't have to be! It's a show and it's amazing."

"How were you flinching at the hockey fights earlier but not at the goriness in this show?" I could feel his gaze on the side of my face but I refused to look away from the frantic chase.

"Because the goriness in the show is fake, everyone knows that. The hockey players pummelling each other's faces is real and brutal."

Feeling content, I was happy I had left the party and came here instead. I wasn't alone and I was able to watch my favourite show with my new friend. Which is exactly what he was and would be - a friend.

I saw Sebastian wince a few times when he shifted around on the couch. He rubbed his shoulder but I could see the discomfort on his face.

"What's wrong? Is it your shoulder?"

"Yeah."

"Maybe you should put something on it." The commercial on tv gave me a chance to turn and face him. His body was tense and his left arm looked like it was weighing heavily next to him.

"It's okay." His eyes shifted towards the hall for a split second.

"Tell me where it is and I'll get it."

"It's fine, Aria."

"Sebastian, don't be stubborn."

He finally told me where he kept the muscle ache cream which I retrieved and brought back into the room for him. Sitting down next to him, I opened the bottle and squeezed a generous amount onto my hands.

"You don't have to - "

I slapped his hand away when he went to touch his shoulder and instead spread the gel onto his heated skin. I could feel his heavy gaze on my face as I worked it into his skin. He winced a few times but for the most part, sat still.

Once I was done, I stood up to wash the remaining gel from my hands and walked back inside to see Sebastian pulling a t-shirt over his head.

I sat down quietly again and the both of us didn't say anything for a few minutes.

"You can change it, if you want." I spoke softly as to not disturb the quiet air that had settled around us.

He looked over at me and smiled. "I kind of want to know what happens next."

"Told you it was good."
