Chapter IV : Halloween night

Athys appeared on the shop doorway a minute after he was gone.

Noah startled.

"Oh...Did you forget something?"

"Actually yes." Athys responded and headed to the back store. His confidence made Noah feel a little bit annoyed. He ignored him and mind of his own business, his costume would not be choose alone after all.

His phone rang; it was a message from So Eun: Guys, I'm in trouble. Pls find me at Baekjong's. In a flash, He hastened to bring Abigail.

"I don't care, what is going on right there..." He yelled. "... So Eun is in trouble, we need to go now."

... And that's how they ended in a very insane night... They didn't find any trace of the Korean girl in the restaurant. They were waiting for almost like thirty minutes and she has never showed herself and didn't send any other text either.

Three psychopaths chased them instead, running through narrow, dark and stinking alleys...

Sophisticated vampires in a long black capes. Ugly zombies in torn and muddy clothes and many other creatures. Koreatown were fulfilled of all supernatural species. Whatever they wore, the fact was people loved celebrating deaths, and frightening each other's. The sparkling streets of signs written in Hangeul (Korean language) swarming with people who were filled with disguised crowds. Parents and children, friends yelling the Halloween catchphrase: Trick or treat in direction to the festival in Central park.

A refreshing breeze was shaking Abigail's hair as she ran through the cold alley with Noah next to her, following the strange guy disguised in sorcerer.

"Who the hell are they?" Noah shrieked. He has never run that much again since his senior year in high school. His pulses pounded in his ears, fear clenched like a tight around his chest and a ball of terror formed in his stomach.

Abigail didn't have the time to answer, and she had no idea of who was these guys besides they were looking for her this morning before she swooned.

As they entered a turning point, a fireball erupted in front of them, on the verge of reaching Athys's feet but he dodged it nimbly, slipped behind a trash before running again.

Noah and Abigail were out of words, Kai threw up the fire from his hands.

Now, they engaged in another alley. Abigail couldn't even make the difference between them. It was always a suit of gloomy houses, stinking garbage bins where rats were partying which gave her thrills.

They were able to hear Kai and his twins bodyguards 'steps clacking on the humid floor. With a simple move of his hand, Rafael raised Noah in the air, leaving Abigail and Athys out of words.

How scary and crazy it was, he was amazed. The boy couldn't believe he was really floating. Excitement browsed him and chills chased up his spine. Rafael dropped his force from him and soon, Noah's body would meet the ground. Athys took off his black gloves, bulged his crystal blue eyes, lowered his brows and whispered Ignis avolare . A snake-shaped mass of fire surrounded him then formed dazzling wings on his back.

Abigail's eyes sparkled. Was she dreaming? He had just seen Athys growing fire wings and caught Noah from his fall.

Kai giggled.

"Bob, Rafael, I don't care about the others. Do whatever you want with these two. Abigail is mine."

He slow-motioned walked towards Abby whose heart was pounding like hell. As he made a step forward, she made a step back. He wasn't the willowed body guy asking for her with his bodyguards anymore.

"Stop" a voice yelled behind.

Kai turned back and saw So Eun's face which made him laugh.

"You are the one, who wished she disappear, don't you? Cause... I can feel your poor girl disgusting jealousy."

Abby's face grew pale, how did he know that?

"Don't move So Eun, I'm going to fix this."

"My dear Abigail." Kai continued, walking around her like a tiger which waited the right time to eat his prey. "Let me tell you something."

She drew a smile which surprised him.

"I don't know how do you proceed but It's not something I didn't already know." She said. " My sister hates me then what?"

I said stop now, Kai. You've already messed up a lot

He thrilled when he heard Pixie's little voice in his head. They were able to reach each other's mind; he stared again at the Korean girl behind him and realized her sister possessed her body.

Meanwhile, the twins were still on Noah and Athys back, throwing stuffs to the boys.

It can't go like this, she thought. She had to figure something out quickly to save them.
