Stepping onto the porch that creaked slightly from being worn down after so many times, you knocked politely on the pearly white door, you had been invited for some tea with Chuck, a friend of yours that you had gotten to know via Albert, another, but more closer friend of yours. Hearing a muffled "Give me a moment, please!" Made it clear that he had heard your arrival. Crossing your arms with a small hum as you waited quietly for him, which didn't take too long as he came out after a few moments, buttoning his vest up as he glanced at you with a smile. "Glad you could make it, (Y/N)." He said cheerfully before stepping aside for you to enter into the house.

"Nice seeing you too, Chuck." You said with a returning smile as you both made it into the kitchen. "I hope Sandra doesn't mind my stay here." You said, a bit nervous at his easily angered wife. "Oh, her? Don't fret about her, she went out to get a few things for us, we're running low on food anyway." He said simply with a small chuckle as he started the tea, making you nod and sigh in relief. "Ah, that's nice to know, she doesn't seem to be.. the happiest when I'm around." You murmured as he placed the kettle onto the stove. "She's not very fond of guests, don't worry, Ask Albert for instant." He stated simply in reply to help you not become so worried about her.

"You're right, thank you Chuck." You said with a slight smile, him giving a slight nod in return before hearing the whistling of the kettle, turning off the stove and putting on an oven mitten for extra protection as he picked up the kettle, pouring two cups of tea and placing the kettle into the sink, removing the oven mitt and taking the cups to the table you were occupied at. Placing one close to you while sitting on the opposite side of the table. "Thank you" You thanked, taking your cup and taking a small sip. "How have you been?" He asked with a small smile, his eyes seemed to shimmer and glow in a way that just hit different.

"I'm doing fine, thank you for asking." You said with a smile after placing your cup down. "Of course, it would be extremely rude if I didn't ask after all." He stated with a chuckle, which made you laugh quietly and nod as well. "True." You replied simply. "You don't seem to be the type to be rude on purpose though." You added with a hum. "Speak for yourself." He replied. "You're always sweet, (Y/N). I constantly have to remind Albert that bad manners make for bad guests, on the other hand. I do enjoy your company all the time after all." He admitted as he took a sip of his tea afterwards. The statement he said made your cheeks turn a soft pink for a moment. "Ah, I thank you for that, Chuck." You stated with a sincere smile. "I feel the same way with your company as well." You stated with a nervous exhale. "It's very nice to have you around." You added on, making him smile and nod.

You two conversed for a while until you both had finished your tea, Chuck had taken the now empty cups and tossed them into the sink, you dusted off your shirt and headed out the door. "It was fun catching up, Chuck." You stated as you turned to him. "It was nice with you as well." He added, usually you two would shake hands or wave, but instead he had suddenly hugged you, shocking since he usually hated physical contact, making you freeze for a second before quickly hugging back, standing there for a few moments before he pulled away with a bright smile, waving at you as you left, waving back to him as you did so.

Maybe you'll visit him more after this.
